Leave Review“Lovely cottage to use as a base to explore Cornwall.”
By Miss Lorraine Gregory on 26-Oct-2024Didnt have the opportunity to enjoy the garden but well maintained and spacious. Rebecca very helpful when traffic delay may have caused a delivery issue. Cottage itself very comfortable and clean.
“A most charming cottage with all the creature comforts you would need to enjoy a great holiday.”
By Mr Barry Crundwell on 05-Oct-2024Pretty perfect location opposite the local pub and just a 2 minute walk from the local community run shop that catered for our basic needs. Off Road parking was most useful. Cleanliness was excellent as was comfort too. Beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything you need to self-cater. We found the heating fine for October and suggest that it would be more than sufficient all year round and only enhanced by use of the log fire - which we tried just the once to add a touch of 'romance' to the general ambiance of the cottage. With stone floors downstairs and a handy outside hose for the dog we found it perfect for Missie - our border collie. The enclosed garden was fine and seemed to be a bit of a Sun trap even though we had a lot of wet weather during our time. Two good double bedrooms would meet the needs of a couple of couples or a family and the third bedroom is a good space for children making it fine for a family of six. Bathroom fine with a well powered over the bath shower - with plenty of piping hot water. As mentioned opposite one pub with other quaint country pubs within a few minutes drive plus a local Cider Farm a fifteen minute walk away - and well worth the trip to sample the local tipple . Located near enough to hit the beaches of Rock and Padstow within half an hour drive plus Tintagel and its Castle which was well worth a visit. We thought it was fabulous and would be more than happy to return - thank you to the owners. As per the Cornish Ale - A Proper Job ! (60's plus couple - married 44 years - still loved up and young at heart ).
“Beautiful cottage.”
By Mrs Joy Rowe on 08-Mar-2025Beautiful cottage
“On arrival found cottage to be just perfect in every way.”
By Mrs Susan Robertson on 21-Jun-2025Cake and tea was a nice touch. Heating in bathroom was on, but after contacting housekeeping they came out within minutes to sort it out, excellent service. I did see a few comments from previous guest saying that they had been kept awake by the bed, there was a noise, l think it might just need a few nuts and bolt’s retightening ,but in no way did it pose a problem for us. Fabulous location, pub over the road excellent, two lovely meals and a lovely atmosphere. Community shop was good also for the essentials, milk, bread etc. All in all this cottage was just lovely. Thank you to Sykes, owners and housekeeping. Paul, Susan, James and fur baby Caramel. X
Very comfortable
By Mrs Linda Bibby on 17-May-2025The property was very comfortable and the garden safe and secure for our dogs (they still looked for ways out but didn’t find any!) The duvet was quite warm for this time of year but will be wonderful in the cooler months!
“Lovely clean cottage, great location for travelling around.”
By Mrs Deborah Barlow on 05-Jul-2025Garden secure for dogs. Would definitely recommend.
