Description
Pelican is a beautifully refurbished quirky yet contemporary 3-storey village town house offering comfortable accommodation for larger groups and families.Situated in the cobbled heart of old Staithes - walk out of the back door and watch the ever changing tidal beck or stroll out from the front into the unspoilt high street with its traditional shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. The harbour, beach and rock pools are an easy few minutes walk away. For more adventurous walkers, Staithes is situated on the Cleveland Way with excellent walks both north and south from the village.
Ground floor - through lounge and dining room both with log/coal burners, well equipped kitchen including Smeg coffee drip machine and small outside courtyard with table and chairs.
First floor - one twin bedroom and one king size bedroom (travel cot also available in this room). Bathroom with bath, overhead shower and toilet. Laundry cupboard with washer/dryer, iron and table top ironing board.
Second floor - one twin bedroom and one king size bedroom. Shower room with shower, sink and toilet.
Towels and bed linen provided.
Wi-Fi throughout.
Well behaved dogs welcome.

By David on 26-Jun-2022Everything at The Pelican is first class and a lot of thought and work has gone into making it a pleasure to stay there. Everything you might possibly need has been clearly thought of including an assortment of batteries, boxed games to play ,books, washing materials and iron .we stay last year for 4 nights, my wife and cousins came for thee nights earier this year and we stayed this year for rwo weeks . We are booking again for next year and m y wife and cousins are booking again . There is so much to see in Staithes and surrounding areas you won't find a better place to stay.

It has everything you could possibly need for your stay. There is an information book giving you details about the house, places,to visit and places to eat out. We have already made plans to go back next year and have already placed a booking.
Beautiful House

The house was spacious and contained all equipment needed for a relaxing location The sweet shop was an added bonus and the locals were very friendly. It was a short walk to the beach or a hop across the jetty to do some crabbing Would definitely recommend and would stay again

By Susan on 28-Sep-2018We stayed just for 2 nights but would have loved it be longer. The house was lovely & clean with plenty of seating & a well equipped kitchen. It was easy to find & convenient for good pubs, local shops & the beach.

Gorgeous and spacious bolthole within minutes of the sea
By Al on 16-Jan-2017We had a wonderful winter stay in the Pelican - it was really comfortable with some nice homely touches and great mid-century style furniture - all within walking distance of everything Staithes has to offer. Emma was easy to contact and made sure we had everything we needed, including a cot for our baby. We're planning to return in the summer months as this place is really special.
