Description

Hunsett Mill is a completely unique and extraordinary property, quite unlike anything else we have to offer. A multi award winning 'New House of the Year' and featured in Grand Designs, it marries contemporary design with the historic mill keepers cottage and incorporates superb environmental credentials . Hunsett Mill is designed to capture the amazing 360 degree views with internal double space volumes and huge windows throughout. Solid oak floors combine with the exposed wooden structure to create a home of simple 'stripped back ' luxury, a naturally relaxing interior to compliment its idyllic river side setting.

Approached from a kilometre long private road and set in The Broads National Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Hunsett Mill is surrounded by the River Ant (a tributary of The Broads) with open marshes beyond to the front and water meadows and protected forest to the rear.

The house sits in the shadow of Hunsett water mill itself which has been extensively renovated by one of the last remaining millwrights in the country, including the recent addition of two new sail stocks. The beautiful garden has a long open river frontage with a plethora of bird and wildlife (kingfishers, swans, owls, otters) and provides a tranquil and peaceful setting, while still being within walking distance to the village with its pubs, restaurants and supermarket as well as the quaint Museum Of The Broads. It is a short drive to the beach and has numerous stunning walks, cycle routes, steam railways , country homes and gardens and adventure parks locally, with boating of all types on its door step and with the city of Norwich just 30 minutes drive away.
