Description
No 1 Barn Cottages is a lovely little escape that’s been thoughtfully transformed from its original farm building. It's the perfect spot to unwind and soak up its charm!This delightful Cottage spreads over two lovely levels, offering plenty of space for you to unwind. Perfectly cosy for two, it’s the ideal spot for a relaxing getaway.
As you step into the charming cottage, you'll notice the lovely wooden beams that give the ground floor such a warm, inviting feel. The kitchen is a lovely space, fully equipped to whip up your favourite meals, and it flows nicely into the dining area for those delightful dinners. The spacious living room beckons with its two comfy sofas, perfect for curling up with a good book or catching up with loved ones. And let’s not forget the log-effect fire, creating a cosy atmosphere, along with the TV for those movie nights!
Our lovely cottage enjoys a sunny south-facing position and features patio doors that open up to a beautiful shared garden. It's the perfect spot to sit back and soak in the lovely surroundings! We’ve even provided some garden furniture for you to relax on. If you're in the mood for a delicious outdoor feast, just ask, and we can provide a charcoal BBQ for you to enjoy!
Upstairs, you’ll find traditional wooden beams that add a lovely character to the space, and there's a delightful low beam in the bedroom. The bedroom, has a comfy king-size bed just waiting for you to sink into, along with plenty of storage options for all your belongings. If you’re looking for extra sleeping space, there's a handy fold-out bed tucked away in the living room. And let's not forget, the bathroom is en-suite, complete with a lovely bath where you can soak and unwind.

Parking is available for one car in front of the cottage.

Barn Cottages are set in a Cottage garden, and are surrounded by 4 acres of pastures and a large pond.
Guests are welcome to wander and enjoy the grounds and the many fields and footpaths that surround the property or alternatively enjoy the garden and take time to relax in a peaceful and tranquil location.
Barn Cottages are in an area which uniquely combines the quiet calm of village life with excellent access to Suffolk's major tourist attractions and the Suffolk Heritage Coast including Minsmere RSPB reserve, Southwold, Thorpness & Aldeburgh.
The Local towns of Woodbridge and Bury St Edmunds are also worth a visit.
Small Dogs are welcome. We charge £20 for a dog to stay.
The prices shown are for the Cottage and includes two people.
Weekly bookings - Our changeover day is Friday,

By Richard on 13-Sep-2024We stayed here for a month while waiting for a house sale to finalise. Maria and her husband gave our little family a warm welcome and we felt very at home here. The garden is lovely with fruit trees and there are peaceful walks on your doorstep.

There was a useful guide at the cottage with lots of suggestions for day trips, farm shops, etc. which seemed to have been prepared with much care. It is a characterful barn with a spacious kitchen and dining area (the dishwasher was a plus!). Rabbits, squirrels, and birds are likely to be your companions during peaceful walks. The several small churches in the area are absolutely bucolic and totally worth visiting and there is lots to see in Suffolk whether you prefer seaside or countryside.
