Description

New refurbished bathroom for 2023. (Nestleton also has a cloakroom upstairs with toilet and sink)
Sleeps 6 adults plus baby

Awarded Aspire Magazine's "Hidden Gem of Dorset 2016", Nestleton is a beautiful 3 double bedroom (plus cot bed and travel cot) maisonette occupying the top two floors of a Victorian house, with sea views, balcony, open fire and courtyard garden. It has a downstairs bathroom with overhead rain shower and an upstairs cloakroom. The sun streams onto the balcony and front of the house in the morning, perfect for an al fresco breakfast, and streams into the back of the property in the evening.

The maisonette has its own entrance and is accessed via a side staircase. Great care and attention has been given to furnishing the maisonette in a beautiful romantic vintage French style and it is only a 5 minute stroll into Swanage town with its many cafes and restaurants, restored Victorian pier, steam railway and long sandy beach - great for children. It is also a great place for water-sport lovers, and has a scuba diving school by the pier. Durlston country park and castle is only a 15 minute walk away and the property location will therefore also suit walkers who wish to explore the Jurassic coastline and this area of outstanding natural beauty. Corfe Castle, Studland Bay, Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island and Blue Pool to name just a few, are all in close proximity to Swanage. Children and pets are very welcome! (pet fee £40 for up to 2 dogs and £50 for three dogs per stay)

Wonderful week in lovely surroundings

By Heather F on 09-Sep-2023

We really enjoyed staying at Nestleton for a week in September with our 3 and 1 year old children. We loved sitting on the balcony in the evening after kids were in bed. For us the things that made it special were the lovely decor, proximity to the town and beach, beautiful views from the apartment, comfortable beds, welcoming kind and considerate host (where do you get choccies and wine in a hamper these days?!), child safe/friendly, easy parking (we always parked at the top of the hill), amazing scenery and good weather. We explored Studland beaches which was great fun, also Farmer Palmers Farm park was excellent for little ones. We also did pirate crazy golf which our 3 year old son loved and kept saying oh arrr all the way round! We would love to return sometime. Thank you so much Moira, for a great last minute getaway! :)

Wonderful accommodation in a fantastic location

By Audrey on 04-May-2023

We stayed here as a group of children and adults and we all thoroughly enjoyed the time and wished we could stay longer. The maisonette is spacious and beautifully decorated. It is a very short walk to shops and the beach. A perfect base for our family holiday.

Smashing Place to Stay

By Kerry S on 19-Apr-2023

Communication from the owner before you arrive is great, you know exactly what to expect & where to locate all the important things cutting down potential stress. The location is good, really close to the town & all it''s amenities, a short walk to most places but far enough away from any hussle & bussle. The only down side is the lack of parking but the owner gives handy tips on where to park before you arrive. Inside the property is beautiful with high spec throughout, obviously well loved & maintained by it''s custodians it is a lovely place to stay. We were sad to leave. Published 2 Jun 2022
