Description
Tilbury Cottage offers luxury self-catering accommodation for a couple plus a baby in a stunning location. The cottage is arranged over two levels and was originally Tilbury Farm’s chicken accommodation. The spacious living / dining / kitchen open-plan space is located at first floor level to take advantage of the stunning views. A super king-size luxury en-suite bedroom is located at the lower level.Recline on the generous L-shaped comfy sofa and enjoy our selection of DVDs, books, board games and puzzles. Oak floors, exposed beams and antique pieces add to the period charm.
The cottage has free wifi.
Central-heating from our environmentally friendly biomass boiler ensures a warm, cosy and inviting space.
Tilbury Cottage also benefits from a private terrace taking advantage of the stunning views.
The kitchen and dining area is finished to a high standard. Beautiful oak cupboards topped with granite surfaces. There’s a fridge and freezer, an electric hob, microwave and oven. We provide all your essentials for washing up, bin bags etc. We also provide plenty of storage, cutlery, crockery and pans.
We also welcome guests with a breakfast hamper from our local farm shop upon arrival including local milk, bread, bacon and fruit juice. A laundry is available with separate washing machine and dryer for your use.
We believe a comfortable bed and a good night’s rest is the key to a successful holiday and that your mattress should be as good, if not better, than your one at home.
Tilbury Cottage therefore has a beautiful wrought iron super king size bed with a top quality mattress together with a 6 foot 6 inch woollen mattress topper and a Devon wool duvet.
Woollen blankets and cotton sheets provide a luxurious feel and ensure a good night’s sleep.
Tilbury Cottage has a recently installed inviting bathroom with a walk-in shower and full-size roll top bath. A heated towel rail, fluffy towels and luxury toiletries are provided to help you unwind.
Invigorate in a generously sized walk in shower or enjoy a relaxing hot soak in a full-size bath. Our environmentally friendly wood-pellet biomass boiler ensures there is a continuous supply of hot water.

By Harry on 08-Dec-2023Had a lovely stay. Place was exceptionally cosy and peaceful - with good connection to Taunton and the rest of the Quantocks. brilliant breakfast hamper was just what we needed - the host Matt was very helpful and we liked meeting Roger!

The location is stunning, perfect for walking the Quantocks

Exceedingly quiet spot, very comfortable bed, sofa, kitchen seating. Stunning views, couldn’t ask for better. Loved the welcome goodies & Matt was extremely helpful whilst letting us get on with our stay. Thoroughly recommended!
Matt's idyllic location was perfect

He responded to any questions quickly, and even checked in on us on the second night to make sure everything was Ok The welcome pack was some tasty local produce. I can recommend a visit at Matts

By Andrea on 29-Sep-2023We had a lovely few days here, it's a lovely, peaceful and private location with a fab view, easy to find and walks from the door, for our stay we were provided a lovely hamper at no cost including milk, butter,juice, bread, sausages and bacon. Host is nearby should you need them. Will definitely return.
