We booked this lodge as a very much last minute thing, and we''re so glad that we did. Angela came back to us in super quick time and was a delight to deal with. Thank you for your fast response and helpful information :). The lodge itself is set in a beautiful park just outside lovely Grassington, where the new All Creatures Great and Small TV series is filmed and in the most glorious Dales countryside. There''s an on-site gastropub that we''d really recommend (it was nice for someone else to be doing the cooking!) and there''s also a leisure centre with a pool and spa. We didn''t use the facilities, but it looked very nice and great for families. What can we say about the lodge other than that it was fantastic. It was spotless (what do you use to make the taps so shiny?) and felt very fresh and clean as it appeared to be newly decorated. Just what we were looking for, with high quality crockery and cutlery (for the odd time we ate in!) and extremely well equipped. There was also a nice welcome of a box of local toffee, which we felt was a lovely touch. One evening was quite cool, but a quick tweak of the heating and nice little electric log burner type fire warmed the place through and we were soon toasty warm and cosy. The double bed was very comfortable indeed, but we obviously cannot comment on the bunk as we were travelling as a couple. Breakfast on the veranda was a bit self-indulgent, but a great way to start the day. We even saw a roe deer through the trees, or at least its white bottom and little flicky tail. What an unexpected joy! In summary: would we recommend Wharfe Lodge? Oh yes! And we already have to friends and family. Every single thing from the initial professional yet friendly contact with Angela was perfect. The next time we book will certainly be for more than two nights. Thank your for a wonderful relaxing few days
