Incredible Views and Cosy Stay

By Kate T on 11-Feb-2025

Incredible views and cosy stay Lovely bungalow with the most incredible view of Burgh Island and Bantham Bay. Fantastic walk across the fields and cliffs to get down to the beach. We stayed in Feb and had the beach to ourselves at times. Everything you could possibly need in the house, lovely log burner and well appointed kitchen. Comfortable beds and modern, clean bathroom. Highly recommend.

Peacehaven is a Little Gem

By Sue M on 15-Feb-2025

I have just had three nights at Peacehaven and I would highly recommend staying here. The bungalow is immaculately clean and very cosy. There’s a lovely sea theme throughout and the views are stunning. The beds are very comfortable, the shower is great and there’s everything you could need in the kitchen. Fast communication with owner.

Magical property, magical situation with magical views.

By Kevin Porter on 07-May-2025

Just occasionally we come across a property that exceeds all our expectations. Internally every facility was provided, well furnished throughout in a very stylish manner. Both the kitchen and bathroom were modern and well maintained, making our stay extremely comfortable. The big big plus are the views from the lounge and garden both provided a breathtaking outlook along the coast toward Burgh Island and giving beautiful land and seascapes plus the most fantastic sunsets. Yes I really loved the place and can't wait to visit again.

Great bungalow with outstanding views

By Jo Douglas on 17-May-2025

We stayed a week at Peacehaven and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The fabulous view from the garden with stunning sunsets are such a feature of the property's location. Judy was great to communicate with from the start and has thought of everything you could need for a comfortable stay. As many reviewers have already stated there are lots of lovely places to visit such as Hope Cove, Salcombe and Dartmouth to name a few. There are also several interesting National Trust properties within easy reach. Miles of coastal paths in both directions and easy access to the beaches make walks such a pleasure. We played 2 rounds of golf at the very friendly local course which gives panoramic views over the surrounding coast and countryside - it even made our bad golf shots bearable and we were able to take our dog as long as we played after 3pm. We were lucky with the weather and had a great week enjoying all that the South Hams has to offer.

Perfect for our long weekend break. Fully equipped, comfortable, beautifully decorated, stunning views, easy for walking, shop & pubs.

We were extremely lucky with the weather, enabling us to fully take advantage of the area. Th South West around the Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Hope Cove, Bigbury, Bantham & Thurlstone areas are known for their holiday experience. Locals are friendly and helpful and such beautiful scenery. Plenty of walking around the coastal paths, beaches coves. If you want shopping then the South Hams has plenty of towns, with Plymouth & Exeter within reach. Peacehaven was the perfect place for a R & R weekend.

Glorious May break

By Tom Blackett on 18-May-2024

For this short break in Thurlestone , third week in May we decided to rent out a small cottage called Peacehaven, perched on a high knoll facing SW with views over Bantham Bay , Bigbury Bay and beyond encompassing the unique Burgh Island made famous by the crime writer of the 20th century Agatha Christie .Judith (the owner) presented the cottage in excellent condition and decor all very modern yet tasteful all to match its surroundings , beds were very comfortable , sofas and chairs were equally obliging , no shortages of the essentials in the kitchen dept so everything you would need was there all neat and clean . The communal bathroom was bang up to date very stylish , the shower needed carefull management due to what seemed slightly variable water pressure but it was no problem . All in all it was a cottage that is deserving of another visit in the most stunning of villages in the Devonian South Hams .
