Another wonderful week at Sara’s Cottage

By Penny on 29-Nov-2025

We have just returned from this beautiful and very accessible cottage; it was our 9th or 10th visit which shows how much we love it! The quality of the decor and standard of comfort is unsurpassed and it’s not just us saying it - Diane and Terry have won many top tourism awards over the years which are greatly deserved. As a disabled person, I appreciate the efforts made to ensure the cottage is suitable for everyone: everything that is added for accessibility is stylish and not ‘institutional’ (the wet-room is beautifully designed and fitted). We are already looking forward to our next stay in 2026; thank you, Diane and Terry - it was a wonderful week!

Lovely place to escape.

By Jennifer on 12-Oct-2025

If you're looking for a lovely place to escape—somewhere peaceful, quiet, and maintained to exceptional standards—this is the place to stay. Diane and Terry go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. Nothing is too much trouble for them; every guest's needs are catered for, and they ensure everyone has a truly comfortable and relaxing stay.

Lovely cottage, good location, great hosts.

By Nicola on 09-Oct-2025

A lovely well looked after cottage within reach of plenty of Cornish days out. The accessible room was particularly well appointed - the main reason we booked this venue rather than our normal campsite. A comprehensive information pack provided some very useful hints. Diane and Terry were thoughtful and considerate hosts, even cutting the grass on the paths through the fields so that my daughter could go round on her mobility scooter more easily. Much appreciated, thank you.

Another 5* stay

By Sharon on 17-Aug-2025

This was our second visit this year, and it did not disappoint! The cottage was as welcoming and lovely as before. Spotlessly clean and everything you would need for a relaxing holiday provided. Diane and Terry were just as delightful as before. We are so much looking forward to returning in November this year for our third visit! March next year is already booked in. Sara’s cottage is so disabled friendly I can really enjoy my breaks there knowing my disabled mother is completely safe and comfortable. Shame we can’t award 6 stars!

A hidden gem

By Tina on 11-Aug-2025

This is our third year of staying at Sara’s cottage and we are delighted to say it has lost none of its sparkle. The perfect location to explore what Cornwall has to offer. Diane and Terry are fabulous hosts, very approachable with a wealth of local knowledge. The welcome hamper was very much appreciated. The delicious scones, clotted cream, local jam and Cornish tea were a real treat. The luxury bathrooms with their aromatic shower gels, soap and shampoo are worthy of a 5* spa. The lengths that Terry and Diane have gone to to be environmentally friendly are also impressive. This lovely cottage together with its lovely hosts has everything you could wish for and we feel privileged to have enjoyed another week there.

Paradise

By Craig on 13-Jul-2025

From the first minute you arrive, you notice the tranquility and quietness of the location and then you enter the cottage itself. The cottage is absolutely immaculate, the bedrooms bathrooms kitchen and living area are all of the highest quality and the addition of outside lights provide a nice evening glow when sitting on the patio or lounging on the garden chairs. The walkways cut through the surrounding fields are a great idea and provide endless walks accompanied by all sorts of wildlife from deer to red kites and pheasants to hares. The owls nesting in the barn and surrounding trees are amazing and cared for by Diane “The owl lady of Truro”. Beaches, pubs and restaurants with lovely local produce are just minutes away and the fantastic hosts Diane and Terry are always on hand to offer advice on where to go, what’s going on in the area and will freely answer any queries. This is paradise and when time comes to leave you wish you had booked longer or could stay forever. Craig from Blackwood stayed at Sara's Cottage for 14 nights in June 2025
