Our charming 5* dog-friendly cottage, a short walk from a dog-friendly beach and nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, in the small peaceful seaside hamlet of Trusthorpe, offers you the perfect seaside holiday home experience. We are proud to have achieved over 60 5-star reviews from all of our guests since we opened in the summer of 2021, and we promise you won’t be disappointed!Sandpiper Cottage is a spotlessly clean, sunny, detached bungalow, which is extremely spacious, comfortable and welcoming, being maintained by the owners, Val and David, to a very high standard.
Midway between Sutton-On-Sea and Mablethorpe on the Lincolnshire coast, Sandpiper Cottage is perfectly situated for exploring all the area has to offer, and is only a short drive to a host of Lincolnshire’s many attractions. As well as full weeks, we also offer short breaks: 3 nights Fri-Mon and 4 nights Mon-Fri. Please enquire for our best rate.

Sandpiper has ample off-road parking for two cars in the drive and has secure garage storage for cycles.
Sandpiper Cottage offers two large, airy double bedrooms – one kingsize with an ensuite shower room (with sink and toilet), and the other with twin beds, adjacent to our sparkling, fully-tiled family bathroom.
Both bedrooms have comfortable beds with quality bed linen and comfy pillows. Along with plenty of storage space, personal safe, hairdryers, smartphone chargers/alarm clocks, etc., there is everything you could need for a perfect holiday.
The large, modern and well-equipped dining kitchen has everything you need to cook a great meal, and includes an electric Hob and new electric double Oven, Fridge/freezer, Microwave, Air Fryer, filter Coffee machine, Dishwasher and Washer/dryer. A door from the kitchen leads into our conservatory, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable alternative eating and relaxing area, looking out onto our pretty, private, and secure garden.
Move through into our cosy lounge with two comfy leather recliners and sofa, and a 55” Samsung Smart TV with NOW TV, Sky Sports, Amazon Prime and Freeview available free to our guests. Complimentary ultra-fast free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Through French windows, the lounge leads onto a private terrace with a bistro table and chairs, where you can enjoy your morning coffee whilst planning the day’s adventures. There are sun loungers and beach towels available.

By Michael Onn on 15-Nov-2025We all just wanted to say a massive thank you. Sandpiper is an absolute gem. The way you have made and designed the cottage does you and your partner great credit. We have made some very happy memories taking away our little three month old with the grandparents. It felt so warm and cosy and you have literally thought about every comfort, even the provisions that you can often forget in the heat of packing lol. We will definitely be staying with you again and recommending the cottage in the future.
It really IS the perfect holiday home from home!

It is in a perfect location in a quiet cul-de-sac minutes walking from a beautiful unspoilt beach and also minutes driving from Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea. The property has an enclosed, secure cottage style garden ideal for a dog or for adults to while away the time with access to quality sun-loungers and patio table and chairs. Inside, it is exceptionally well decorated and appointed with beautiful bedrooms and comfortable beds. Dog gates are provided to stop pets trespassing into the bedrooms which is quite rightly an absolute non-negotiable condition of the let. There is a well furnished conservatory adjacent to an exceptionally well equipped kitchen and additional to the usual appliances has a coffee machine, air fryer, top of the range microwave, dishwasher and a washer dryer A very thoughtful welcome pack with milk, treats for both us and our dog were provided and very much appreciated. The living room is really tastefully decorated, very comfortable and has a living flame style electric fire and a massive smart TV with NOW subscription. There are a wide range of board and other games and a large selection of books to choose from. Folders with a comprehensive range of information including user manuals for all appliances were really helpful. Both the conservatory and the living room have double patio doors which open out to the garden which our dog Silva really enjoyed. Finally, the cottage was immaculately clean; and the owner was very welcoming and made the arrival and departure clear and simple. We loved our stay there and certainly would consider returning.

How lucky were we Friday afternoon as the tide was coming in, a seal came up the beach, luckily he wasn't disturbed and rested a while. Keep your eyes peeled down the beach, it's so unspoilt. Sandpiper is highly recommended by us. Thanks.

By Gary Herbert on 27-Jul-2025We absolutely love this cottage. Our second time here and Val and David have made Sandpiper so cosy and well equipped. Lovely hosts who are very friendly and helpful. The conservatory is great to relax with a glass of wine looking out to the beautifully kept garden. Very comfortable lounge and beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Thank you for another delightful stay and look forward to staying again next summer.

By Tracy King on 21-May-2025This was our first stay at Sandpiper Cottage and we will definitely be booking again. The cottage was very clean and very comfortable. It had everything we needed and more. It is in a quiet location and our two Labradors loved the short walk to the beach.

We found having two dogs with us it was so easy to get to the beach and promenade where they could run free. Easy walking to Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea. Walking distance to a lovely restaurant/pub who welcome dogs. Those wanting a quiet location I would highly recommend Sandpiper Cottage. Thank you Val & David for your lovely welcome pack and Ash & Coco loved their treats. Will see you again, thank you xx
