La Maison Marguerite is a recently modernised 3 bedroom house with an open plan sitting room/dining room which leads on to a covered terrace and pool area. The kitchen is a Farrow and Ball painted kitchen with black granite tops with all the modern appliances to make your holiday as relaxing as possible. The kitchen also has french doors which leads onto the covered terrace with seating for up to 8 people.
The main bedroom is downstairs with a separate loo and bathroom which has a free standing bath and shower, which is ideal if there are just two of you using the house. Upstairs there a two more bedrooms the double bedroom having its own separate ensuite and a separate balcony which is lovely if you just feel like a few minutes peace and quiet. The third bedroom has two single beds which can be joined to make a double bed, This bedroom looks over the pool with a view to Uzes. This also has French doors leading onto a lovely terrace completed in May 2018 with fantastic views
The house is south facing and therefore gets the benefit of the sun all day. However there is a covered terrace when you want to still be outside but need a bit of shade. The pool is a 9 x 4.5 salt water pool (not suitable for diving) and is enclosed by a wall and security fencing. We ask that all children that come to the house can swim. We also provide a bbq and a table tennis table as well.
Uzes has been described as the Hidden Gem of the South of France. Uzes is located 20 miles west of Avignon and is a short distance from the Pont Du Gard, great for anyone that likes canoeing. Montpellier also has a choice of beeches and the medieval town of Aigues Morte nearby is worth a visit. If you are interested in wine then a visit to Chateauneuf du pape is well worthwhile. Uzes itself has a food market every Wednesday and a large market selling most things on a Saturday. Uzes itself always seems to have lot of thing going and lots of places to eat and we have never been disappointed in any restaurant or cafe we have been to. The nearby villages of St Quentin, Collias and Castilion du Gard. are also worth a visit and you may have seen Castilian Du Gard on "First Dates". Other areas worth exploring are Avignon, Orange and Nimes. Infact there is so much you can do you might have to come again. I do leave information on things to do in the area but the tourist information office in Uzes is also very helpful.
There is lots more I could say but why not take a look at the pictures and if you are interested in booking please do not hesitate to contact me for the correct and more accurate price and availability. I have a flat rate of £1,400 per week. Please note my change over day is always a Saturday My new website is up and running. I apologise if there are a any spelling mistakes. We have had the best 2 weeks in your beautiful house, here in Uzes. We enjoyed many of the activities in the surrounding area and would definitely recommend the Kayaking under the Pont du Gard! The house had everything you'd need and was a wonderful home away from home. The weather was very kind to us, meaning we made the most of the pool. Uzes is such a pretty town, and was only a short walk from the house. WE also recommend the town Barjac for a mooch round. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A wonderful month in a very pleasant house. Best place we have stayed in since the Villa St Victor closed. Penny and Marks thanks for sharing your little corner of Uzes with us. Nice to come "home" for a long stay. We will be back

Had a fantastic 2 weeks holiday for the 2nd year running. The house is very comfortable and central for lots of villages, markets and shopping. Added bonus is the pool and fanstastic weather. We would definately recommend to friends and family.
Absolutely Fabulous Villa and Locaton
By Debbie R on 15-Jul-2016
Our stay at this villa was absolutely fabulous. The villa itself is spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. There is everything you would need in the kitchen and more plus a washing machine in the garage. The Wi-Fi was very fast, which is a must these days when travelling abroad. We had regular contact with the owners who were helpful in everyway with whatever questions we had about the villa or the surrounding area. The villa and everything in it was clean and very well maintained, an ideal vacation retreat that I would highly recommend to anyone. There is lots of room both inside and outside the villa. The pool is a really nice and has the added luxury of being heated. Uzes is a wonderful, cosmopolitan French town, with regular local markets taking place in the town during the day, and a wonderful dining/walking environment at night.. The town is very clean and the locals are very friendly. The beauty of the villa is that it is within a very pleasant walking distance of the town centre. It was a lovely break for us and we shall definitely be visiting again as often as we can.
First visit to Uzes

Had a fantastic two weeks holiday. House was lovely and comfortable. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. Would recommed to anybody to visit. Hopefully see you next year

The house is very well equipped and very comfortable. The lounge and dining areas are especially (compared to many other places I've stayed) spacious and will easily accommodate eight people in comfort. Beds were great, pool was great, I really couldn't fault it. All my dealings with the owner were top notch too - all done by email, very friendly, very helpful, very responsive. For local attractions, Uzes itself is a very nice little town, good local shops (not just for local people) very good Saturday market. You can walk to the town center in 20 mins, or a short drive to the car park by the bottle banks will halve that (it was hot while we were there...). Within an hours drive you can reach Nimes, Orange, Avignon, Arles and the southern Cevennes; all worth visits. There are some great winemakers around Uzes and down in the Costieres des Nimes. In Uzes we had good food at La Renaissance in the Place aux Herbes and very good food in Le Palangre in Grau du Roi (ignore the tourist places on the left bank and go over to the right bank) - well worth a visit to see the salt pans and flamingos and the old walled town of Aigues Mortes. We will be recommending it to colleagues and friends and will probably be back.
