Ready for a change of scenery? Welcome to Forester's Cottage, a detached two bedroom / two ensuites cottage, with ground level accommodation Sleeping 4 + infant. Come and enjoy our location on the border of the New Forest /East Dorset. Our Spring and early Summer Offers:4 nights 23 March £465. / Weekends 17 or 24 April £480 / 01 May Bank Hol. W/end £540. / 4 nights Mon 04 May £540. / 4 nights Mon 01 June £560.

FORESTER'S COTTAGE is an annually assessed 4 Star rated Self Catering Cottage by Visit England, and awarded 100% cleanliness. A detached, charming and traditional part-cob cottage, ground level accommodation (no stairs), with timber vaulted ceilings, situated within our own grounds on the border of East Dorset and the New Forest. Two bedrooms, a Kingsize double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each bedroom has en-suite shower room, wc and hand basin. Perfect for families, friends, or couples. Sleeps 4 + infant. Children any age welcome. Up to two well behaved dogs by arrangement.
Open plan living with dual aspect natural light. Furnished with two and three seater sofas and country pine dining furniture. Complimented with good quality curtains and accessories. Complimentary Broadband, Smart TV, DVD, books and games for home entertainment.
Well equipped kitchen including a washer-dryer, dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric fan oven, hob, microwave, kettle and other small appliances.
Forester's Cottage private garden is well maintained, fenced and gated, level (no steps) and has a lawn, trees, flower borders and furnished patio with table, chairs and parasol, offering a lovely space ideal for relaxing after a day exploring, and for alfresco dining late into the evening.
The Games Room in the garden has table tennis and a football game. The games room is for the sole use of visitors at the cottage.
Off road, level parking for two cars immediately next to Forester's Cottage.
Owner's EV Charger can be used by arrangement.

Excellent cottage in great location
By Jennifer Luffrum on 23-Oct-2025The cottage was absolutely perfect for 4 adults and 2 dogs. Thoughtfully furnished with lovely pine and quality leather and linens. Well equipped kitchen with comprehensive welcome pack. The enclosed garden and numerous nearby walks kept the dogs amused W.can recommend spending a day at Moors Valley Country park. With delicious food and friendly service, The Monmouth Ash pub completed this super holiday. Thanks to Jean and Les for the opportunity to stay at Forester's Cottage. .

A Short Notice Break

The property was excellent for our purposes and the welcome was very friendly, inclding for our dog. The property was comfortable and the facilities excellent, Things like the WiFi worked well. The outside area is secure and this is essential for dogs. There is a good range of instructions for appliances etc and this was very helpful. All in all, Foresters Cottage is an excellent place to stay.
We had a lovely weekend.

Great cottage, plenty of room for a family.
By Adrian S. on 01-Sep-2024This was a great cottage. Plenty of room for a family of four. A good base for some days out in the area and perfect for a day in too. Jean was a wonderful host. Everything was explained via email before so we exactly what to expect and notes at the property so we knew what was expected and how to use everything. Having the outside area to sit in the sun and enjoy a bbq made a few of our evenings.
