Beautiful property – spotlessly clean and very well managed

Just checking in to let you know we arrived safely after a grocery shopping visit in Perpignan. Followed your instructions explicitly, and had very little trouble accessing keys, doors, etc. We have to compliment you on the property. It is beautifully done, and spotlessly clean. Your property is being very well managed. And we are maximizing our time on the patio, which is very private, and just enjoying the morning sunshine and amazing view. Finally, I am getting big kudos from my wife about this vacation selection. I am most appreciative of the condition of the property and the cleanliness of it.

Priviledged and lucky to have landed in such as beautiful spot..!

We had a great time in Villelongue dels Monts – I feel privileged and lucky to have landed in such a beautiful spot. As you told me in the first week, it’s a lot less commercial than Laroque and all the better for that. Both the Farmhouse and Cottage des Alberes were good for us, especially the farmhouse with its terrace! As for recommendations, I don’t think you need to look much further than the village to provide for most of your needs! The two restaurants were consistently excellent and very friendly and hospitable. As for Yann’s bar well, I miss it a lot! One of my visiting friends described it as ‘the best bar in the world’ – that may be an exaggeration caused by the large cognacs but he has a point. I can’t praise it enough – not just Yann but also his customers (ie the villagers) were unfailingly friendly and engaging. We enjoyed Collioure and Ceret, especially the market day in the latter (Saturday). Definitely worth a visit. One thing we did, was to go up to the top of the Massif des Alberes. You can either do a 3 hour walk up from either the house or from Laroque or you can drive to Le Perthus and take a left on the D71. That gets you to within 2k of the top and the walk is absolutely spectacular with the Spanish border on one side and a great view of the Roussillon plain on the other. My only regret is that it took me until the 4th week to discover it! If I don’t buy somewhere there myself, I may well book again! Thanks

Wonderful villa - ideal for 3 generation family holiday..!

My family and I, all 16 of us with ages ranging from 6 to 79 it was the perfect location. We rented the cottage and the farmhouse for one week and have just returned. Fabulous rustic bedrooms some with en-suite facilities was perfect. There kitchens were fully equipped and thank goodness a dishwasher. We especially loved the large balcony that house 2 BBQ’s that were used all week and seating for all 16 of us. The pool area was a hit all round and a perfect size for afternoon games such as water ball volley. We would highly recommend.
