Leave ReviewTable Tennis Tournamen!
By Gillian Clarke on 26-Jun-2025Spent a long weekend at the Old Vicarage for a family celebration & had a wonderful. time in this very well equipped, amazing house. The children really enjoyed the outside space & the table tennis table was put to very good use as one of the youngsters organised a tournament that was great fun. The sauna & hot tub are added bonuses & enjoyed by all. Owners very approachable & detailed information sent beforehand was extremely useful. Highly recommend this property & hope future guests enjoy their stay as much as we did. Thank you Elwyn & Roy, we will be back!
Great Family getaway
By Laura McGeeney on 26-Aug-2025The house and gardens were wonderful. It felt as if everything had been very thoughtfully done and well maintained. There were lots of games the children could play - if you could get them out of the hot tub, off the table tennis table and the play equipment in the garden! The garden is amazing, different areas for different times and a table or a seat just where you want it for whatever you are doing at each part of the day. Lots of mature trees gave cool areas in warm weather and the house maintained a good temperature too. The kitchen had everything we needed anmd two dishwashers meant we could keep on top of dishes for ann extended family. I tried to think of something to mark it down on so just put 4 stars for location because it is by a main road. There’s a long drive up to the house with a gate so no worries about children near the road and there are trees blocking the road. It is just if you want to walk somewhere. There is plenty of space to park vehicles though (also largely shaded) so it’s easy when travelling by car. All very clean and well kept in house and garden. A really lovely space to spend time and hang out with family. Highly recommend it.
A great family weekend for all ages and dogs.
By Chris and family on 28-Nov-2025We enjoyed a fantastic long weekend at **The Old Vicarage**, staying as a group of ten ranging from ages 8 to 80 – plus the dogs, who were equally delighted. The house beautifully preserves the charm and character of a traditional vicarage while offering all the modern comforts you could want. The accommodation felt wonderfully homely and spacious, and everything we needed had been thoughtfully provided – from head torches to beautiful linen and plenty of logs for the gorgeous log burners. The kitchen–dining area was enormous and perfect for group meals, while the separate lounge offered a cosy space to relax in the evenings. The hot tub and sauna were brilliant additions and a real treat after days spent exploring. We also enjoyed a fantastic hike up the Black Mountains, which made the stay feel even more special. Overall, a warm, comfortable, and well-equipped house that made our weekend truly memorable. We’d happily return!
Lovely family break
By belina on 18-Dec-2021Our family of 11 stayed in the Old Vicarage over the Christmas period. The house was extremely well equipped and large enough for all of us to relax and spend quality time together. The sauna and hot tub were a welcome retreat during the very wet week. The owners were very helpful and responded to our minor needs very quickly. A special mention has to also go to the local butcher who delivered our Christmas meats. The pigs in blankets and bacon were the best we have had in a long time. Highly recommended for a larger family gathering or time away with a group of friends.
Wonderful winter escape
By carla w on 18-Feb-2022We had a wonderful time at the old vicarage. My friends and I decided on a girls weekend there to celebrate being able to get together again after two years of restrictions. The beautiful views and walks are just some of the many reasons to visit Herefordshire. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and in the evenings the house is extremely cosy especially when lighting the fire and playing board games. I can highly recommend visiting the red lion pub and the Pandy Inn Both of which are extremely welcoming. We look forward to returning in the future. Thank you Elwyn.
