What a find!
By A Bussey on 30-Nov-2025What a find! A beautiful cottage, with many lovely touches. Lorraine and John were so welcoming and generous, making us feel very much at home on their beautiful farm. So much to see and do , both on the doorstep and further afield. We will definitely come back and highly recommend it to couples looking for a luxury pet free cottage in Northumberland.
Perfect Cottage
By J Lawton on 30-Sep-2025Perfect cottage for a couple who are either looking to explore this stunning area of Northumberland or just take it easy with fabulous walks straight from the door and a bit of star gazing in the evening. The owners have thought of absolutely everything. It is so comfortable, clean and well equipped. We could have happily moved in permanently and not had to do a thing. There is so much to see and do in the area (Kielder Water, Durham, Hexham, Beamish Museum, various Roman sites along Hadrian's Wall etc etc etc). It's got to be the best cottage we've stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot!)
What a little gem
By Neville Frost on 31-Oct-2024What a little gem this cottage is. Only gives you the option of up to 5 stars to rate it. Definitely deserves more than 5 stars. Everything so well thought out by Lorraine & John to make your stay sensational. This cottage is so cozy and well furnished. The EV charger made it so much easier not having to use public chargers. The charger is for your use only during the stay and so much cheaper. We will definitely return and highly recommend this cottage.
Fabulous cottage in Northumberland
By Leselsue on 07-Jul-2022Our second stay at the cottage and just as lovely as last year. John and Lorraine are so welcoming and the cottage as always was spotless. We had a wonderful week in Northumberland and will certainly be back again.
Batter than excellent - 5 stars are not enough
By EdwardtD5005YK on 08-Feb-2020By far the best place we’ve stayed, so much so we’ve already booked to return later in the year - abandoning plans for a foreign holiday. This pristine cottage is beautiful, with so many thoughtful touches: From thick cotton dressing gowns to a supply of dishwasher tabs; logs for the wood burner to delicious scones included in the complimentary welcome hamper; and much more besides. The location is stunning and we’re already missing the fresh air, long walks and amazing views. All this and such a friendly, genuine welcome from Lorraine and John made for a perfect February escape.
Superb cottage worthy of more than 5 stars
By Walktalkwrite on 04-Aug-2020A beautifully presented stone cottage. With all the amenities of a 5 star accommodation - the eye for detail makes it a most welcoming place. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and much appreciated after a long journey. Having a bath in a luxurious bathroom with separate shower was amazing. Water was lovely and warm... WiFi works well - good connection. Kitchen has everything you needed to cook up a meal. The log burner was brilliant very cozy and warm. Lorraine and John the owners made our stay a very enjoyable one... we came away with good memories of the cottage and the surrounding area. Well worth another visit!
