Loved Cedar Cottage in Warrenpoint Ireland

By F. Iaconi on 20-Aug-2018

Cedar Cottage-is a clean, lovely cottage and garden and the perfect location for our holiday. Convenient and within walking distance to shops ,local pubs and fabulous restaurants and a variety of entertainment whether it be culture, nature or good auld pub atmosphere. Norman & Rachel were very friendly and helpful when we had enquiries regards travelling around, places to see ,transportation etc.The Cottage also had literature with local places of interest in Ireland. The communication with them was on the point from the time I enquired about letting the cottage, renting the cottage and also during our stay. I had numerous questions about the Cottage and they were answered within 24 hours of emailing them to the owners of Cedar Cottage. They even sent me photos of the entrance so I would be able to find it easily on arrival. We loved the glass enclosed room that looks out onto the beautiful garden that surrounds the property..The sitting room with fireplace, two couches and a large window that looks out onto the garden is the perfect place to watch television ( excellent instructions for operating the remotes for the television and DVD player.), read a book or just have afternoon rest..The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable with more than adequate supply of pillows and bed linens. The large bed had an electric heating element on it for chilly nights and there was also a hot water bottle if needed. The two bathrooms were clean, spacious and had plenty of towels, a nice surprise bonus were the fluffy comfortable bathrobes supplies for everyone. The kitchen is well designed and contains everything you could possibly need. There is even a loveseat in the kitchen. I would highly recommend Cedar Cottage and would definitely choose to rent there on my next visit to Ireland. British Columbia (Canada)

High quality accommodation in great location

By S Cash on 30-Jul-2018

Situated just a few yards from Carlingford Lough and views of The Mournes, short walk into the town. Nearby is Kilbroney Park with access to The Mournes through Rostrevor Forest, lots of scenic walks and drives. Owners are friendly and helpful without being obtrusive. The cottage is one of the best equippped in which we have stayed with a pleasant garden and conservatory. Despite there being no on-site parking we never had a problem parking outside the property..
