Leave ReviewMy daughter is a full time electric wheelchair user. Enjoyed her 1st recent visit at Windmill Barns
By Lizzie Woodward on 08-Oct-2024My daughter is a full time electric wheelchair user. Enjoyed her 1st recent visit at windmill barns. David was very approachable and goes out of his way to explain how to use the lift in the barn. The barn itself is easy to navigate around for a wheelchair user. Beautiful location. Barn was spotless on arrival. Definitely going back.
My partner, our son and myself stayed at Windmill Barns for a long weekend at the beginning of October
By Angela Barton on 15-Oct-2024My partner, our son and myself stayed at Windmill Barns for a long weekend at the beginning of October. We booked Buck Cottage and it was perfect for our needs. Fresh, light and airy downstairs with three comfy bedrooms upstairs. Having a lift to access his bedroom was an added bonus for our son as he thoroughly enjoyed going up and down independently (he has a downstairs bedroom and wetroom at home). The kitchen is very well equipped with lots of crockery, cutlery, pans and utensils along with a dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of cupboard space. We were so lucky with the weather and Buck Cottage has the most amazing views looking west and we very much enjoyed using the log-fuel hot tub watching the sunset. The hot tub has a hoist (you need your own sling) so everyone can enjoy it. There is a wooden table and chairs/benches outside where you can sit and enjoy the stunning views. There are two shower rooms upstairs, one being en suite and adapted to a high spec. Another huge benefit was that we could choose a shower/toilet chair at the time of booking and which was free of charge and David had put the one we chose in the shower room ready for use. The other shower room had a large glass shower cubicle, hand basin, light up mirror and a loo. Another surprise was that there are animals we could visit on site. Two pigs named Douglas and Percy, goats and chickens. The cottages are in a very lovely position and only a short drive from the nearest village. We went into Stratford Upon Avon which was about 8 miles away and Warwick Castle isn’t too far away either as are the Cotswolds. David, the owner, was very friendly and helpful and lives in a cottage on the site and is available to help if you need anything.
Absolutely gorgeous!
By Nikolett Ver on 04-Dec-2024Absolutely gorgeous! We will definitely rent again soon. Spacious kitchen&living room, comfortable bed rooms. The whole flat is well-equipped, clean and tidy. You can feel yourself at home from first enter. Hosts are lovely, friendly and helpful.
Our stay at the Windmill Barns was exceptional.
By Dominic Hill on 02-Jan-2025Our stay at the Windmill Barns was exceptional. Having stayed at many holiday lets across the U.K. designed to accommodate and be adapted, frankly a lot fall slightly less then below par, however the Windmill accommodation is one of the best we have come across, David and the team do a great job and very welcoming, such a lovely place, will 100% be returning and recommending to friends that require a suitable adapted holiday let.
We had a great weekend stay at Roe Cottage
By Emma Aldred-Tow on 06-Jan-2025We had a great weekend stay at Roe Cottage. David gave us detailed information on how to get to the property and how everything worked. The layout of the cottage worked perfectly for us (Four 40 something girls having a university catch up) and the lift was fantastic for me meaning I didn’t have to sleep downstairs like I usually have to on these occasions. We will definitely return, thank you David.
