Beautiful, relaxing cottage. Ideal location for exploring the wider area
By John and Bev Smyth on 09-Sep-2023Beautiful, contemporary cottage, comfortable and spotlessly clean, fitted out to a high standard. Wonderful hosts who go out their way to ensure your stay is perfect. The cottage is a short drive from Durham, Newcastle, Beamish and the beautiful Northumbrian coast, making it a great base to explore the wider area. This was our third stay and we will be back 🙂
Beautiful cottage well looked after. Well insulated unable to hear any traffic noise from outside. Lots to do with in short distance's.

Lovely wee cottage
By Denise Heddle on 01-Aug-2022Thoroughly enjoyed our week in August at Wood Cottage. Private gated area with parking right outside entrance. Modern and clean with everything you could possibly need. Fantastic welcome package which was really appreciated. Great bars/restaurants within ten minutes' walk. Beamish open air museum just 7 mile away. Is well in worth a day out. I would definitely stay again if visiting the area. Thanks again Elizabeth and Ron.
