Exquisite location

By F Mc H on 28-Nov-2023

I wandered around the house on arrival, smiling- met with delight after delight. The house firstly is in an exquisite location - Weare Giffard has the typical beauty that one only finds in Devon. On the side of a country road, up the hill, around the corner from a quaint pub. You walk into a generous hallway, through the hallway and into a warm, welcoming kitchen, fresh garden roses on the wooden table, a welcome basket with all sorts of ‘goodies on the sideboard. I only have 1000 words so I can’t give you the room-by-room description but suffice to say, Wendy has thought of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that one could need, for all ages. The kitchen had EVERYTHING! We made use of the games in the games room, the TV room, the wood burning stove. Two people had forgotten toothbrushes and hey presto there were spares in the cupboard. The house felt lovingly cared for and was decorated tastefully. The bedding and towels were quality. Cushions and blankets. Logs and kindling. Simply FAB. Fiona

Super airy and comfortable

By Jeremy Shaw on 17-Jun-2022

Super airy and comfortable premises. Ideal for socialising families with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and facilities and enough different areas to enable different groups in the same house. Everything you need is here, from pots and pans to baby equipment and BBQ! The pub down the road is great with super ciders. Lots of walking, cycling and exploring to be done locally and further afield in North Devon. Stay longer than you think! It will be worth it I promise. Tarka Trail is a particular must for cycling even if you haven’t in years! I could go on, just come and stay!
