Description
The Annexe @ Truffles is a recently renovated, converted bungalow in West Wittering, independently located, set in the grounds of the owner's family home.Pool access (late Apr-Oct, 2 hours/day) in included & just 5 mins to the beach - ideal for exploring the Witterings Peninsula.
The host’s field next door is ideal for dog walking. Lamb pub c.5 minutes walk, easy access to Witterings villages via country lanes.
The space:
- Consisting of an open plan living space with galley kitchen, double bedroom, twin bedroom, hallway with storage and bathroom, the Annexe can be configured to suit a couple, or family of four (or five with an infant in cot).
- The kitchen is well equipped for self catering, including an oven, microwave, cafetière, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. A BBQ and fire pit (subject to availability)is also available on request. The living area includes a large wide screen TV and free wifi for entertainment. Parking is available directly outside the Annex, which has direct access to our field - perfect for dog walking.
- Swings and garden area for children available any time!
- Guests have shared access to our heated outdoor family pool, (Apr-Oct only) reasonable use agreed in advance with the owner (and the weather!). As a general rule the pool will always be available for guests 2-4pm each day.
(Pool used entirely at guests own liability - please supervise children at all times!).
- Other things to note: Bike hire (folding bikes, £10/day), bike storage, table tennis and BBQs are available on request/subject to availability.

A true home away from home
By Susan on 29-Apr-2025A true home away from home. It was a 10 minute bike ride to the beach on a route which was fine for our 5yo on his bike. The Lamb Inn does great food and only a few minutes walk away (and has a playground for kids!). Tilly and Tim were happy to let our boys use the football goals and trampoline in the garden which was a brilliant added bonus. There’s also a great swing (conveniently located enroute to the pub). A bit cold in April for the pool but our boys still gave it a go and Tilly and Tim kindly lent us wetsuits - the kids loved it! Overall, friendly and flexible hosts and a wonderful stay. Thank you!
Really lovely stay
By Emily on 28-Aug-2025Really lovely stay, the annexe is small he perfectly formed and exactly as shown in pictures/description. Access to the family outdoor pool was what made the stay fit us as we were very fortunate with the weather. Very easy to drive to East and West Wittering, some lovely dining options 5 minutes drive away. Tim gave us brilliant tips on parking, times of day it would get busy etc which was a great help. Very responsive host and we would definitely return
Cute bungalow in a picturesque setting
By Polly on 09-Sep-2025Tim and Tilly were fabulous hosts. Their cute bungalow is in such a picturesque setting. Safely nested off the road and you instantly start to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Comfy beds and the access to the pool is a real treat. Perfect location for getting to both East & West Wittering beaches as well as Chichester. We visited for my mum's birthday and had the bestest time. Tim and Tilly were so welcoming and couldn't have done enough for us. Helped with bus info to Chichester and when we asked if we could change the pool access time they were only to happy to let me and my 5 year old son jump in the pool. I must also mention the Lambs Inn pub which is a 5 minute walk away through Tim and Tilly's gorgeous field with central picnic table and swing - so idyllic. The Lambs Inn has music on Friday and Sundays and serves delicious food and has an outside pizza oven and play area for the kids. Super staff too!! The whole weekend was truly lovely and I would highly recommend this place
