Mariner's View cottage is situated at the southern-most point of Weymouth, just before the causeway that leads to Portland. The Fleet nature reserve (good bird-watching) and Chesil Beach are just across the road. From the cottage windows, there are wonderful views of the sea, yachts and windsurfers, all backed by the distinctive outline of Portland. Smallmouth Bay, with rocks and a little sandy beach and the coast line of Portland Harbour are 3 minutes walk away. The South West Coast path and Rodwell Trail (one of Julia Bradbury's Railway Walks) pass close to the front door. The National Sailing Academy in Portland Harbour (which hosted the 2012 Sailing Olympics) can be seen from the cottage windows.

Everything you will need - even in Storm Eunice

By Tom Griffith on 20-Feb-2022

This house has absolutely everything you will need. We booked 3 nights away with our one year old, and will be coming back for our main summer holiday later this year, it was that good. Storm Eunice arrived on day 2, but there were toys, books and crafts we used to entertain our daughter, so even though we were housebound, we weren't bored! The house is about 5 minutes away from. Weymouth town centre, and just off the road into Portland, so both are easily accessible. The hosts have thought of everything - every utensil you csn imagine, instructions on how to use appliances if needed etc. If you have a young family, or even if you dont, I cant recommend this house enough, you wont be disappointed.

A homely and clean house in a great position overlooking the sea. Very well equipped and within walking distance to swimming in the bay and eating at The Crab House or Billy Winters beach bar- excellent food ,position and atmosphere . Parking convenient and secure. Highly recommended!

Mariner's View - our first choice for another holiday.

By Brenda on 26-Sep-2021

We had a lovely holiday, the cottage is very clean, comfortable and well equipped and close to Chesil Beach and coastal walks. It would be our first choice to stay when we come back to Weymouth.
