Leave ReviewFabulous barn conversion
By Ruth Docherty on 09-Oct-2020This is a fabulous barn conversion in a pretty little village with a pub. Spotlessly clean, very warm and comfortable. The lounge area is stunning. The owner is close by if you need her, we didn’t , but it’s nice to say hello. Just a few minutes drive from Pretty Whitby, it’s in a perfect location.
Beautifully furnished, lovely bathroom facilities and very clean
By Ms Julie Davey on 31-Aug-2020The barn was beautifully furnished, lovely bathroom facilities and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. Everything we thought we may need, it was there to hand, as well as some nice touches. Ilona, the host, lived in the house next door and was on hand for recommendations and any queries. Having said that she also kept a respectful distance. This enabled us to have a relaxing and enjoyable break. Very picturesque countryside and beaches. Highly recommend this quality holiday let.

Chestnut Barn is beautiful and so comfortable
By Mrs Alyson Kent on 31-Jul-2020Chestnut Barn is beautiful and so comfortable. The host is incredibly thoughtful with little touches around the barn, flowers and a lovely welcome pack. Everything is thought of here and we wanted for nothing. We would definitely recommend staying here and will be doing so ourselves again.
Perfect Christmas break in stunning barn conversion
By Paul Franklin on 05-Jan-2017We had the honor of being the first guests to stay in this stunning barn conversion. Had a very friendly welcome from the owner, the village is charming with a warm welcome in the local pub. All the fixtures and furniture in the barn is high quality and the log burner was much appreciated after bracing walks on the nearby beaches. Very comfortable, we relaxed straight away and had a great family Christmas. will definitely be back!
New year's family break, great location
By Iori G on 10-Jan-2017Great location! Set within the Moors National park this barns offers everything you need and more. You get beautiful landscape views and you can easily reach the best North Yorkshire beaches and sea villages. There aren't shops next door but Whitby is only a 5min drive. We were 2 families with 2 small children(two 4yo, a 1yo and an infant) and we never run out of anything. There's also a traditional pub only a few minutes walk which offers delicious food and they're very friendly. The barn is nice and cozy and with the underfloor heating the house it's always nice and warm(if this bothers you, you can always regulate the temperature, each room has its own). The barn is equipped with board games and good sound system if you plan to have a laid down day. For families there's also a good highchair with table and a travel con, we used both and they were perfect. I can't fault this place, we travel a lot as a family and this has been the best house we've been to, plus North Yorkshire it's beautiful. It's been like being in a hotel with the home facilities. We've had a lovely time and would recommend this place to families as well as group of friends! Enjoy!!
