Description
Two bedrooms and a private courtyard. This property is versatile and will accommodate up to four people. The property is set in a quiet location just 10 minutes walk from Widemouth Bay. There is an enclosed secure private courtyard.The master bedroom has a rainfall shower en suite and can be made into a twin room or king. The other bedroom has its own separate bathroom (bath & shower).
The property has its own outdoor shower and dog washing station. Dogs are very welcome - if you let us know your four legged friend is coming to stay then we can provide dog treats, dog towels/blankets and dog bowls (dog baskets/crates can be supplied if requested).
The property has a log burner (logs provided October-March only), large smart TV, Bose wireless speaker. Smart TVs are provided in the bedrooms. Off road parking for 2 cars. Towels (beach towels can be provided for a charge). Biscuits, milk, tea & coffee provided. Washing machine & outside line (there is a communal tumble drier in the Laundry Room), high spec Fisher & Paykel dishwasher, Smeg fridge freezer, Smeg electric oven and hob, filter coffee machine. Charcoal BBQ. Secure site with CCTV. Owners are on site for added security and assistance. Mid week towel change if required (additional charge). Cot/high chair on request.
We are fully compliant with all necessary regulations, including fire safety and PAT testing. We have commercial insurance and public liability for your peace of mind. We are a member of PASC UK (The Professional Association of Self Caters UK).

By Linda Hassett on 20-Nov-2025Excellent accommodation. We stayed at Swallows Nest for 12 nights in Oct. Swallows Nest is a beautifully presented barn conversion and is immaculate throughout. The owners Gemma and Guy have thought of everything, and nothing was too much trouble. The beds were very comfortable, and the linens are all of a high quality. Tv's in both bedrooms. All the rooms were spotlessly clean and the kitchen, bathrooms and lounge were very well equipped. There's parking for two cars, and a nice enclosed garden area with seating. We highly recommend Swallows Nest, it's a superb place to stay, and the location is perfect for Widemouth Bay and Bude or to explore the North Coast.

The owners have done an amazing job of preparing this (and the other) properties. We highly recommend!

By Christine on 30-Apr-2025This has to be the best, cleanest holiday home we have ever stayed in. The whole house was spotless and organised. Kitchen: well equipped with everything you could need. The complimentary tea, coffee and milk were a nice touch! Laundry: there's a washing machine and a drying rack in the house. You just need to bring your own detergent. The laundry room next door had dryers available. Bedrooms: lovely and comfortable! Pet friendly: the garden is fully enclosed with a high fence and lockable gate. We have 2 nervous dogs so this was important. The basket of doggy supplies were a lovely touch (towel, blanket, bowl, treats, bags, etc). There was even a hot water shower out front for muddy paws. Location: 10 mins from the beach and some good restaurants nearby for takeaway or eating out. 30 min drive from Tintagel as well! Other: there were 2 parking spaces available for Swallow's Nest just outside the door. The central courtyard also has a cute herb garden where you can help yourself! The house itself is beautifully decorated while being perfectly uncluttered at the same time. Host: Gemma is lovely! It is clear that she takes pride in Mill Barn and is very responsive to any questions/requests. The booklet they have put together detailing all you need to know to make the most of your visit, what is provided and what you need to bring, appliance booklets, etc were very useful!
