Overview
Description
Apple and Plum are a pair of traditional 18th century cottages set within their own walled garden and adjoining orchard on the Deans Court estate. Recently redecorated the cottages have a contemporary yet homely feel. Recently fully redecorated in Farrow & Ball contemporary colours and reupholstered vintage furniture provide the perfect space in which to relax and unwind. Take a drink, or sketchpad, to the terrace and enjoy the view across the Stour Valley, where the cows browse on the meadow by the cricket pitch and the towers of Wimborne Minster hover above our ‘crinkle-crankle’ kitchen garden wall.Apple has an Inglenook fireplace, Plum an elm table for ten – perfect if you take both cottages together. Sisal carpets lead to simple, beautiful bedrooms where linen blinds frame the meadow views. Modern, fully equipped country kitchens making cooking easy and fun. Both cottages sleep 6, however Plum has a special twist, and the third bedroom is in the cosy, converted Shepherd’s Hut in its garden.
Although within the Deans Court estate the cottages are only a 5-minute walk into Wimborne town centre and half an hour drive from the Jurassic Coast and blue flag beaches of Sandbanks and Bournemouth.

Leave ReviewFantastic week
By Amanda on 11-Oct-2023We had a fantastic week at Plum Cottage...The cottage is extremely cosy, tastefully decorated and well equipped for a week away. The garden was a big hit with our dogs.... Seeing deer in the back field in the morning was wonderful. Even though the cottage is on the edge of the town of Wimborne Minster, it felt very much that you were in the countryside. The shepherd’s hut was a quirky annex for our son, who came down to visit us. It was comfortable and surprisingly warm. We would love to come back to Plum Cottage some time in the future.
Comfortable and relaxing
By Steev on 03-Sep-2023Wonderful stay at Plum cottage - comfortable and relaxing within a gorgeous setting and so close to Wimborne town. We have stayed before and will stay again (when we can get a booking).
Immaculately decorated
By Harry on 23-Jun-2023We had a wonderful stay at Plum Cottage, Deans Court whilst here for a wedding. The interior of the property is immaculately decorated with plenty of character to make them such a beautiful setting. Some wonderful breakfast treats provided with the property (which were generously supplied) and lovely touches to make the stay extra special. The bedrooms had lovely linen and were so comfortable.
