Description
The cottage is sited in the owner's grounds of 2 acres on the banks of the River Avon, less than 10 minutes leisurely walk to the elegant Georgian riverside town of Pershore in South Worcestershire with its selection of tea rooms, restaurants, 16th Century pubs, busy modern theatre, leisure centre, supermarket, convenience shops and covered market.Use of the owner's heated outdoor swimming pool is available by arrangement between May and October (weather dependent).
We have a no smoking policy in place. There is also fishing on site.
The oak-beamed lounge/dining room has a double bed settee and armchair; flat screen television and DVD/CD player; dining table and chairs and gas log-burning fire.
The bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC, wash hand-basin with shaver point, and a heated towel rail. All linen and towels are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped and fitted with oven, hob and extractor, microwave and refrigerator. Washing machine and tumble dryer in utility room.
On the first floor the large and airy galleried bedroom is equipped with a king size bed with ample space for a separate single bed which is installed in accordance with guests' requirements. The bedroom includes a flat screen television/DVD.
The cottage has full gas central heating throughout. Electricity and gas costs are included in the rates.
Wi-Fi internet access
Outside, there is a separate area of garden with garden furniture and barbeque for cottage use and off road parking.
Use of the owner's heated outdoor swimming pool is available by arrangement between May and October (weather dependent).
A complimentary welcome selection of essentials, a bottle of wine, and homemade baking are provided upon arrival.

Best self-catering cottage we have ever stayed at.
By Derek and Ann Woods on 23-Jul-2022The fact that we have stayed at Garth Cottage on four occasions, 2011, 2013, 2016 and now 2022, speaks for itself. Margaret and Stephen make us feel welcome every time. Margaret's attention to detail is second to none. It is the little extras that Margaret provides, such as a Welcome Pack containing cake, wine, coffee, tea, milk and biscuits, that makes it feel like home from home. The cottage is well equipped and spotless. Margaret and Stephen are on hand to provide local information, such as good places to have a meal. We can highly recommend Garth Cottage.
A well equipped Cottage
By Tom and Maria Goff on 28-May-2022It would be difficult to find fault with Garth Cottage, everything you could need for a comfortable stay is provided, and is spotlessly clean. The owner, Margaret, is the perfect host, even going to the trouble of providing a welcome pack including tea and coffee, and some delicious home made cake, plus other essentials such as bread and milk. We would certainly consider staying there again in the future, and would recommend Garth Cottage to friends and family.

A perfect size, cosy, had all the mod cons and a very comfy bed. Our hosts were very friendly and approachable and on arrival had a lovely surprise of fresh flowers, a welcome pack of food and drink basics which was very welcoming.
