Description
The cottage is sited in the owner's grounds of 2 acres on the banks of the River Avon, less than 10 minutes leisurely walk to the elegant Georgian riverside town of Pershore in South Worcestershire with its selection of tea rooms, restaurants, 16th Century pubs, busy modern theatre, leisure centre, supermarket, convenience shops and covered market.Use of the owner's heated outdoor swimming pool is available by arrangement between May and October (weather dependent).
We have a no smoking policy in place. There is also fishing on site.
The oak-beamed lounge/dining room has a double bed settee and armchair; flat screen television and DVD/CD player; dining table and chairs and gas log-burning fire.
The bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC, wash hand-basin with shaver point, and a heated towel rail. All linen and towels are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped and fitted with oven, hob and extractor, microwave and refrigerator. Washing machine and tumble dryer in utility room.
On the first floor the large and airy galleried bedroom is equipped with a king size bed with ample space for a separate single bed which is installed in accordance with guests' requirements. The bedroom includes a flat screen television/DVD.
The cottage has full gas central heating throughout. Electricity and gas costs are included in the rates.
Wi-Fi internet access
Outside, there is a separate area of garden with garden furniture and barbeque for cottage use and off road parking.
Use of the owner's heated outdoor swimming pool is available by arrangement between May and October (weather dependent).
A complimentary welcome selection of essentials, a bottle of wine, and homemade baking are provided upon arrival.

Perfect

Margaret and Steve are the perfect hosts and we have enjoyed our many holidays here! Cottage always immaculate, clean and tidy and tastefully furnished. Everything we can think of is provided and always a tray of lovely goodies for us on arrival. Already booked for next year!
Perfect week away
By Dave & Jane on 05-Jul-2025This property had everything we wanted, so well equipped . Fishing on the riverbank catching chub, bream and barbel. The weather was very warm so we took advantage of the lovely pool . Short walk into Pershore to visit Pershore Abbey, shops and cafes . We also visited Worcester and Stratford On Avon. The property was spotless and Stephen and Margaret perfect hosts. We felt very welcome. Would recommend
A lovely cottage

My stay at Garth Cottage, Pensham.
By David Harper on 08-Jan-2025I have recently enjoyed time spent at Garth Cottage in the quiet hamlet of Pensham. The cottage was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owners, Margaret and Steve, were away on their vacation during my stay but Margaret texted me with any information she felt I needed so help was always at hand. I was very impressed by the little touches made to welcome me (beer and chocolate cake)! There goes my New Year’s resolution’s!!!
Excellent Stay

The surrounding area is quiet, but a fifteen minute walk into the town, and an easy drive to many and varied attractions. It is very well maintained and equipped, extremely clean, and the owners put themselves out to ensure your stay is all you had hoped for. Communication with the owners was excellent both prior and during our visit .
