By Roy on 28-Jun-2025Apartment had everything we needed, so close to all the attractions, good pubs nearby, overlooking the Fosse river/canal and close to the Wall but away from the crowds. Good communication with the owner and his housekeeper.

The location of the property could not be better: a pleasant view overlooking River onus and an easy stroll into the heart of the city. The house is well equipped, spacious and comfortable. The city of York and its surroundings can easily entertain adults and children for a solid week and at the end of that there will still be many attractions left.

The apartment is just right for two, its location is perfect for museums, shops, the river and amenities, but quietly tucked away from traffic and tourists. The owner and housekeeper were very helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend ~ 5 star +

It's a great location, just a short walk from everything in the city centre, the city walls. Extremely easy to find, with good directions provided by the owner. Handy parking space, although we hardly used the car during our stay as everything was so central. The apartment is very well equipped - everything we needed was in the kitchen and it has obviously been a holiday let for a while as there were plenty of helpful leaflets, brochures and maps to help us plan our visit. Nice to have wi-fi access there as well - we found the radio and TV technology more than ample for our needs. The decor is fun - definitely not that ubiquitous beige you find in most holiday flats, so a welcome relief! Other things we appreciated (and which we've had problems with in other holiday flats) was good lighting in both bedroom and living room.

By Hilary on 25-Sep-2015Hilary G Cosy, quiet hideaway in York Fewster Way is just a short walk from the City Walls and is a great, but quiet and cosy place to stay. I like the bright colours of the decor. The apartment has a great view of the Foss with barges, swans and geese. Its easy to get to all the shops and attractions and there are lovely riverside walks. This was our second stay here, would highly recommend.
