Description

The Stone House is a beautifully renovated villa with a private pool and garden. Along the length of the villa are stone arches and floor to ceiling sliding doors opening up to the large pool terrace. The large living area comprises of a sitting area, dining area and open plan kitchen. It has high ceilings with wooden beams. the bedrooms are spacious and again have high ceilings. Both bedrooms have air conditioning units and plenty of storage space. There is a shared bathroom between the bedrooms with modern shower, wc and basin. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a television with dvd player along with free wifi.

The pool terrace has spectacular views down the mountain to the sea. There is a covered seating area along with a shower by the pool and an additional bathroom / wc. Wooden sunbeds with cushions can easily be moved around the terrace to allow for sun or shade.

The Stone House is situated at the entrance to Ilgaz village across the road from the Turkish cafe. It is extremely private and peaceful and has a designated parking area.

Linen / Towels

Bedlinen is 100% cotton and bath and pool towels are provided. For longer stays beds will be changed and clean bath towels provided weekly or more often by arrangement.

A generous welcome pack will be provided including tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, eggs, cheese (homemade hellim / halloumi when available), tomatoes, olives, fruit, honey, fruit juice, drinking water, a bottle of wine and a couple of cold local beers.

Lovely property in Ilgaz village.

As friends of Carola and Oz we visited the Stone House in March 2023 as they were putting the finishing touches to the refurbishment of this lovely property in the centre of the village of Ilgaz. The house has a beautiful feel to it. Built from local stone it has views to the mountains and towards the coast. The lounge and kitchen area is flooded with light and opens onto a fabulous terrace and pool area. We loved the features that had embedded traditional features into the fabric of the building. It has two large bedrooms and an inside bathroom with walk-in shower as well as a bathroom out in the courtyard area. The huge glass doors in the house offer great views but the bedrooms are designed to enable a good nights sleep including air con units and shutters for the windows. The house has its own parking and is opposite the village cafe and bakery for those early morning breakfasts and bread. The village also has a bistro and vineyard with wine bar for eating and drinking. This is one of my top three places to stay with Ilgaz Holidays and we look forward to visiting again.
