The OVO Network team’s opinion - This unique farmhouse close to the village of Les Clefs was built in 1827 by a nobleman from Chambery who wanted a mountain retreat for occasional visits. You'll need a car (with snow tyres and chains in the winter), but the stunning views from the chalet make the drive more than worth it. The nearest shops are a five-minute drive away in Thônes. Covered steps lead up from the car park to the front door which opens on to the open plan living area – a well equipped kitchen with a huge range cooker, a large dining table which easily seats 12, and a cosy seating area, with a flat screen television and doors on to the terrace. From the lounge you will access the sauna, the hammam and the indoor heated pool, as well as another double bedroom, a shower room and independent WC. The outside space is a real feature of this property, with a large sunny terrace perfect for catching some sun and a covered dining area seating 12, which can be used all year round – the perfect place for enjoying dinner while the sun sets behind the mountains.
