Description
Do self catering in style! A fabulous open plan living/dining/kitchen/pool table area on the top floor with 4 en-suite bedrooms on the floor below. The apartment:
Occupying the top two floors of the chalet with two privately-owned apartments underneath, this stunning luxury self-catering duplex apartment is situated on the edge of Morzine.
Just 25 minutes walk from the centre of the village, and only 200 metres from the ski bus stop, it is ideally situated for both small groups and families.
Access to restaurants, night life and the ski slopes surrounding Morzine is easy, and the chalet benefits from a peaceful location.
Ideally sleeping 8 people with the option of increasing capacity to 10, it has four bedrooms, all en-suite with balconies.
There is a separate ski boot room/bike store
Guests can enjoy breathtaking mountain views from one of the many balconies, or relax in front of the wood fire in the centre of the open plan living area. The interior combines modern luxuries with traditional Savoyard charm, providing a stylish and comfortable ambiance - perfect for socializing after a busy day in the mountains
The bedrooms:
The four bedrooms are on the entrance level of the apartment. Each bedroom has en-suite facilities, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, bedside tables, and double doors opening onto a balcony.
One bedroom has a king size double bed, the other three bedrooms have twin beds. One of the twin rooms has a bath with shower attachment, the other three bedrooms have walk-in showers.
Two of the twin rooms have space for a fold-up single bed (perhaps more suitable for children/teenagers) thus increasing the total number of occupants to ten. The other twin room has space for a baby cot.
These extra beds, baby cots, high chairs and stair gate can be ordered free of charge when booking.
All bedding and towels are included in the rental price.
The lounge, dining and kitchen area:
There are stairs up to the stunning top floor, which incorporates the fully fitted kitchen, the dining area with seating for 10 people and the lounge area plus the desk and the pool table. There is also another toilet on this floor.
There are two balconies accessible from the living and dining areas.
General information:
The secure ski boot room (for our apartment only) is situated close to the front door of the chalet and has plenty of space to store ski boots, skis, snow boards and helmets, thus avoiding having them all in the apartment. This area is ideal for storing bikes in the summer.
There are two parking spaces (one covered)
There is a large garden area and a wooden deck with table and chairs
Please note this is a non-smoking chalet.
Please note pets are not allowed.
This apartment may not be suitable for someone who is infirm as there are six steps to the apartment and a flight of steps between the two floors.
There are further steps down to the garden area.
Please note winter bookings and July and August bookings are usually Saturday - Saturday only - please check with the owner Peter Trend.

Driving from the UK is easy and straightforward; we regularly drive and it usually takes nine hours including meal/fuel stops from Morzine to Calais - 540 miles/850 kms - a long way but on quiet roads compared to the heavy traffic of the UK. We will be happy to supply more information about routes etc - just ask!
About the owners:
We purchased our apartment in Chalet Lucie in December 2010. My wife and I love skiing and snowshoeing in the winter and walking and cycling in the summer; after many years of visiting ski resorts throughout Europe we decided we would like to have our own place where we could stay and our family could visit. We wanted somewhere in a quiet area, big enough for our family, close to the town and the lifts with a bus service so we don't have to drive every day. We wanted easy access to the motorways to enable us to drive from England and close proximity to an international airport. We wanted a resort that offered great skiing but was also attractive in the summer - we think we have the ideal place!
We stay at the apartment several times throughout the year and love being there - it is our second home.
My wife and I often stay there on our own and don't feel it is too big for us, yet when our family visit we don't feel cramped as the living area is so big and the bedrooms all have their own bathrooms.
We hope you will like it as much as we do!

Fab Chalet!
By Susan Williams on 31-Aug-2024Fab Chalet! Chalet was just fab! Huge open plan living area so you never felt cramped. The pool table was a great hit with age ranges from 17-66! Lots of games to entertain you in the evening as well as UK TV. Found the bakery easily and visited a couple of the recommended restaurants which were also fab! Located just outside of Morzine but easily accessed, as were the local areas by car. The whole family had a great week!

Chalet Lucie guests 02 - 09 February 2019
By Tom on 14-Feb-2019Hi Peter, We had a great week in Morzine! The weather and snow were amazing. The chalet was incredible! We loved it. It was clean, tidy, well equipped and very spacious. If I had to pick out any faults, it's that the showers took a while to warm up. A very minor inconvenience, and it didn't bother anyone that much. I found the whole booking process very straightforward, you were very helpful indeed. We went with your recommendations for transfers and ski rental and the service was excellent. We are already discussing returning some time in the future! Thanks again for everything. Kind regards, Tom
