Our beautiful holiday villa Casa Antonio is situated in its own private walled garden giving total privacy to guests and is located 3 miles west of Albufeira, Algarve, in a lovely quiet setting only 10/12 minutes walk to the beautiful sandy beach at Praia da Coelha (Rabbit beach) and close to the popular beaches of Sao Rafael, Evaristo, Castelo, Praia da Gale and Lourenco, some of the best beaches in Portugal. Casa Antonio can be rented with 3 or 4 bedrooms for parties of up to 6 or 8 guests. When rented with 3 bedrooms, Bedroom 4 is locked and not used.
Several restaurants including O'Marinheiro, Dom Dinis, the small Taberna Sesmarias, Restaurant Sal Maris and several other shops and restaurants are within a few minutes walk.

ACCOMMODATION AT CASA ANTONIO
Casa Antonio is tastefully decorated and equipped to the highest standard and is situated in Sesmarias, 3 miles west of Albufeira, set within its own private walled garden with electric controlled gates.
Accommodation at our superior villa comprises hall leading to spacious sitting/dining room with satellite TV, wood burning stove and two doors opening onto the pool, terrace and beautiful gardens
A well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, American fridge/freezer with ice facility, oven, hob and coffee machine, with a door onto the covered dining terrace with its large marble and wood dining table which overlooks the pool and garden which is very convenient for alfresco dining which is the norm at Casa Antonio.
The master double bedroom with super king size bed enjoys an exceptionally large en-suite large bathroom with huge walk in shower. Doors from the bedroom go directly onto the pool terrace. There is also a safe for valuables.
The second bedroom, a twin with doors to pool terrace, and its own bathroom just across corridor with walk in shower, WC etc.
A further twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower above bath.
There is a guest WC in the hall.
The 4th bedroom annex has a double bed, its own en-suite bathroom. This bedroom is accessed from the patio overlooking the garden and pool. Supplement for this room is £230 pw.
When rented with 3 bedrooms, Bedroom 4 is locked and not rented separately.
There is a washing machine / dryer for guests use in an alcove on the terrace.
The whole of the interior is on one level making it suitable for the disabled.
Pool heating to 25 degrees is included (extra for up to 30 degrees).
Satellite TV with BBC & ITV & Sports , Air Conditioning and WIFI is also included in the rental.
All bed linen and towels are provided. Bed linen is changed once per week, and towels changed twice per week. Swimming pool towels are provided. Maid service is 3 days per week. English speaking villa manager / housekeeper.
OUTSIDE
The garden is on one level with terraces, lawns and a large covered barbecue and dining area, which also has a ping pong table. The barbecue is a traditional “brick built” typical Algarve barbecue with a preparation area and a sink. There are just 3 small steps down from the terrace to the garden level. The large Private Swimming Pool measures 12m x 6m and is 80cm at the shallow end and 1.40m at the deepest, with walk in steps at the shallow end, making entry to the pool easy. The pool has an electric safety cover, and the whole of the pool terrace in a light grey stone surrounds the pool. The surrounding plant borders are floodlit in the evening.
The Pool is heated to 25 degrees which is included in the rental making Casa Antonio a great choice for early or late season holidays. Pool temperature can be increased to 28 - 30 degrees at an extra cost.
Car parking for several cars is provided.
LOCALLY
A bus service into Albufeira, and to Gale beach runs from nearby, making our villa suitable for guests without a car. Local taxis are easily available, including some fun Tuk Tuks.
Several restaurants are within easy walking distance including the superb (in our opinion) Restaurant O’Marinheiro. We will also provide you with our informative “Foodies Guide” which will take away any guesswork in choosing restaurants in the area.
Several top attractions nearby are Zoomarine, a full fun day out especially (but not only) for the kids. Here they can watch or swim with dolphins, water slides, zoological attractions, fairground attractions and lots more. Take a look at the Zoomarine website https://www.zoomarine.pt/pt/

Golf is available at the nearby Salgados Golf Course, just 5 minutes from our villa.
Discounted Golf and Club Hire
We can arrange a pre book golf tee times for you at any of the Algarve's courses at discounted prices, and arrange club hire delivered and collected from your villa.
We can arrange reliable reasonably priced quality car hire at Faro Airport, and private taxi or mini bus transfers to the villa.
RENTAL PRICES
The prices shown are for use of 3 bedrooms, and the 4th bedroom is available at a supplement of £220 pw.
Our normal change over day is Thursday, but we can consider other days which you can request. We are flexible so please feel free to ask for other days, or even odd duration rentals for 9, 10 or 11 nights, on request. The rental is calculated pro rata for the relevant season.
We get many repeat bookings each year. Casa Antonio is very popular and gets booked up early, so if you like it but your dates are already taken, please look for other available dates, or one of our other villas on our website.

ALGARVE
For those not familiar with the Algarve or Albufeira, the area to the west of this popular resort is considered the best place to stay by seasoned visitors. You will find at least eight beautiful sandy beaches and coves within just a few minutes of our small selection of villas, most with beach bars and restaurants. There are several well stocked supermarkets and a huge selection of good restaurants to choose from. Although close to the Algarve’s most popular resort Albufeira, we find most of our guests only pay the odd visit into Albufeira, preferring the beauty and peace and quiet of the area around our villas, and its fabulous beaches. In 2016 we "found" Casa Antonio via European Rentals & have been back every year since. For us the house is the holiday, it has everything. Beautiful garden with palm & lemon trees, BBQ & not forgetting the amazing pool. The area of Sesmarias is quiet but not remote, many fine restaurants are just a short distance away & the bustle of Albufeira a 15 minute taxi ride. If the beach is your thing there are a few within walking distance. The house is fully equipped, it has everything you could possibly need, including multi channel TV & excellent WiFi. Apolonia supermarket in Gale is the best for everyday needs, excellent meat, fish, deli & bakery counters. As we use a car we go to Continente at Algarve Shopping for bulk items. It's a very big mall with a lot of shops & stores, well worth a visit. Important to us are the people who look after you & the house during your stay. I can't praise them enough, from the welcome on the first day to departure day they are fantastic & we look forward to meeting up with them again on each visit. Jim G
Superb villa
By Vanessa & Keith on 15-May-2025We have used Casa Antonio ten times over the last fifteen years. It is a five star plus Villa in our opinion and is kept spotless and so well equipped. The grounds, swimming pool and garden are maintained to a high standard, and nothing is too much trouble for the people who look after the Villa. There are restaurants to walk to within a short distance. A lovely beach is just five minutes’ walk away and lots of other beaches all along that coast five to 10 minutes by car. Supermarkets are dotted all around and a large Hypermarket and shopping centre are twenty minutes by car. We have spent some beautiful holidays in this Villa with friends and family; we will be there again in June and hopefully the year after. Vanessa and Keith.
Simply the best
By NMc on 24-Sep-2025We have stayed in a few villas over the years, and honestly Casa Antonio and Cantinho Oliveiras are simply the best we have used. Both villas are in close proximity of all amenities. But at the same time, they are secluded and totally private. Bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance of the villas, but the villas are also superbly equipped for cooking at home. Immaculately presented, at all times. This is why we're repeat visitors every year. NMc

First time booking

We stayed at Casa Antonio 14th -28th August 2025 , 5 adults, 2 children. The villa is well maintained, spotless & spacious (both inside and out) One of the most spacious villas we have had in nearly 25 years of renting in the Algarve. Well equipped modern kitchen, plenty of room for the chefs ! great pool size - kids liked the secret pool cover ! pool temperature was perfect for us, just what you needed after cooking on the sun lounger. Plenty of parking space for 2 cars inside the gated grounds (we had Peugeot 2008 size vehicles) The cleaners are friendly, respectful & thorough-well worth the tip we left. Plenty of entertainment options with the TV, the location is perfect for the beaches, especially Gale, only a 10 min drive. Supermarkets are within 5-10 mins (Aldi) & Algarve Shopping is about 15-20 mins Great local restaurant’s also - Jompra (our favourite), La Olive Would definitely return, as we were ready to book for 2026 whilst we were there, but not available (not surprisingly) The McVeigh’s
Highly recommended
By GTJ on 05-Aug-2025I thought I would drop you a short note regarding our stay at Casa Antonio. We had a lovely stay, and the villa was perfect for us being located in a quiet spot within walking distance of fantastic restaurants and the beach. Having said that, we spent most of our time lying by the pool and relaxing then cooking most nights as the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. I was doing a little bit of work and the Wi-Fi was excellent which is a big thing these days. We would struggle to find fault with any aspect of Casa Antonio and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break in the sun. GTJ
