PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS - YOU WILL NOT ONLY GET A FABULOUS VILLA BUT BRILLIANT SERVICEONLY DATES LEFT ARE 20th JUNE FOR 7 NIGHTS, or, 28th AUGUST, FOR UP TO 10 NIGHTS.
Although the property offers three bedrooms, the owner prefers to rent it to a small family rather than to three adult couples. It is ideally suited to a couple with older children (for example, a son and daughter requiring separate bedrooms), as the layout and space are designed for family living.
The villa is therefore best suited to two couples or a small family group with older children (aged 12+). Please note that it is not suitable for toddlers. A cot can be provided for infants if required.
The two spacious bedrooms on the upper floor each feature a Super King-size double bed, fitted wardrobes, air conditioning, and a full en-suite shower room. The ground-floor bedroom is fitted with twin beds and is conveniently located next to the family bath / shower room.
When staying anywhere on holiday the number one priority is location. Absolutely vital that the location is safe, located in a quality, quiet, residential area and is well served by good restaurants with no rowdy bars or subject to groups of drunken holidaymakers or locals. Casa Laurena meets all these requirements. Please also note that due to the location, car hire is not necessary.
Casa Laurena is a high quality 3 bedroom semi-detached villa and is a truly outstanding contemporary modern style property. Designed by a well known Portuguese architect and built by an equally well known Algarvian builder.
Located in a beautiful, peaceful and secluded setting with no road noise. Arguably the finest location in the Algarve being only 5 minutes walk from the new exclusive W Residences (Marriot Group). This is a new 7 star Hotel / Resort, which also has apartments costing up to £2.9M. Chosen by Marriot for their only 7 star hotel in Portugal is a good indicator of the quality and standard of the nearby location.
Also, only 5 minutes walk to Villa Serena, owned by the tennis player Serena Williams; Serena would not buy here unless it was in a top quality area. There are also a number of other "celebrities", who own property in the area.
The villa affords absolute privacy being situated well away from the noisy tourist areas yet only a few minutes drive to some of the gorgeous beaches close to Albufeira. Several beaches are walkable being less than 1 mile away. Only 5 minutes drive to the Old Town or the New Town (The "Strip" as it is sometime known). It is only 5 minutes drive to Gale beach, another gorgeous sandy beach that goes on for miles. 2 miles from the Albufeira Marina (€4 in an UBER), or a few minutes drive to loads of bars & restaurants.
There are numerous supermarkets within 5 minutes drive and several within walking distance. Loads of restaurants (at least 20 top quality restaurants) and bars walkable within 5 to 15 minutes of the villa, but not close enough for noise to be a concern.
There is easy access to the A22 motorway and the EN125; driving time to Faro airport is 35 minutes to 40 minutes with Vilamoura only 25 minutes drive away.
The villa is located in a gated "village" with only six properties, each with its own private garden and large pool, ensuring complete privacy. The garden is beautifully landscaped with shrubs, palm trees, and flowers, surrounding the private pool next to the terrace.
The pool terrace features a fabulous brick-built barbecue, two dining areas, and a comfortable seating area furnished with high-quality garden sofas and chairs. The pool and garden are beautifully lit at night with subtle lighting, creating the perfect setting to relax outdoors with a glass of wine and unwind.
The villa is arranged over two floors. On the ground floor you will find the lounge and dining area, the fully fitted kitchen, a family bathroom with shower, and a twin bedroom. The upper floor accommodates the two bedrooms with en-suite facilities.
The newly installed kitchen is fully equipped and features a double oven, single oven with microwave, warming drawer, fridge-freezer, wine fridge, hob, dishwasher, and stunning Silestone worktops. A washing machine is located in a separate utility cupboard, along with an iron and ironing board.
All bedrooms are the same size. First floor bedrooms, both have super-king beds, both with full en-suite facilities with large walk in showers, large fitted wardrobes and with air conditioning. One of the bedrooms has direct access to the large first floor terrace. The second bedroom has it's own balcony, with sitting area.
Ground floor bedroom has twin beds with the family bath / shower room right outside the bedroom door.
The large first-floor terrace, mentioned above, is secluded and private and enjoys fabulous views. This spacious outdoor area is in addition to the main pool terrace and is furnished with two seating areas featuring high-quality garden sofas and chairs, sunbeds, and a luxurious daybed.
The property is fully double glazed, has an alarm system & CCTV monitored by Pro-Tech, Smart TV with Netflix, Sky (Sky & BT Sports) by internet streaming, fully air-conditioned, Wifi fibre internet (over 200mbs), BBQ, automatic garden irrigation system, coloured pool lights, garden lighting and solar panels for hot water. There is a large driveway and parking area and entry is by electronic gates.

Many golf courses can be accessed easily. The Vilamoura courses are accessed in 25 minutes and Salgados within 5 minutes. Salgados is only 1.5 miles away by foot and great to walk round even if not a golfer as it borders a nature reserve, several lagoons with a variety of birdlife.
Unlike many other owners, we work with a locally based Villa Manager, ensuring you’ll have support if any issues arise. Rogerio and Nuno Alexandre, owners of Albuera Domus, a Real Estate and Villa Management company, are available 24/7 to assist with emergencies. They will personally meet and greet you at the villa, regardless of your arrival time, show you around, and ensure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Casa Laurena, built in 2009, has recently undergone a significant upgrade, including a brand-new, top-quality kitchen, modern en-suites for the two main bedrooms, fresh interior and exterior decor, and a fully remodeled pool area and first-floor terrace.
For beach lovers, Castelo Beach (the owner's favorite), Evaristo Beach, and Laurenco Beach are just a 15–20 minute walk away. Gale Beach, with miles of golden sand, is a 5-minute drive or just over 1.2 miles on foot. Many beaches, including Gale, feature beach bars, restaurants, and snack bars, with Gale offering three top-quality dining spots.
The Salgados Beach and golf course are just a 5-minute drive away, along with several other renowned golf courses within easy reach.
The Apolonia supermarket is only a 15-minute walk away, and a short drive will take you to Spar, Coviran (Oceana), Aldi, and the Algarve Shopping Centre, which has a large Continente supermarket.
The location is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet, with charming restaurants just a short walk away, yet close to the bustling Albufeira Old and New Towns. As noted, car hire is not necessary due to the villa's central location.

About the Owners:-
We are Ken and Yvonne Paterson. I worked in financial services as the Compliance & Risk Director for a major national Independent Financial Adviser until retiring in December 2019. Yvonne worked as an office manager for an estate agent, and previously with a high street bank, IBM, and as a self-employed bridal seamstress. She is also now retired.
We purchased our first apartment at Villa Rosal in São Rafael near Albufeira 22 years ago but sold it after 3 years, as it didn’t offer the peace and quiet we were looking for. In 2009, we bought a new villa near Ferreiras, and in 2020, we moved to our current home, which we live in for 9-10 months each year. Our villa offers tranquility and privacy, situated in a quiet, high-quality residential area just 5 minutes' drive from Albufeira Old Town and The Strip. There are also many great bars and restaurants within walking distance.
If, like us, you want peace and quiet while still being close to everything, then this is the place. The area is home to several notable figures, including Serena Williams, a few retired Portuguese footballers, and even Bonnie Tyler.

We have a local villa manager that will meet & greet you at the villa and he will show you around. He will also deal with any problems, arrange maid service, change of bed linen etc. and also help to book any excursions or golf etc.
Unlike some other villas the pool is large and there is loads of patio space as well as the secluded roof terrace.
Cancellation Policy:-
Holidaymakers who cancel at least 60 days before check-in will get back 100% of the amount that they've paid, less 3% handling fee. If they cancel after that point, they will not get a refund. For this reason we stress the need to take out comprehensive Travel Insurance, that includes a cancellation option.
Check In / Out
Check in is 3pm or after on the day of arrival unless agreed otherwise with the owner.
Check out is by 10am on the day of departure unless agreed otherwise with the owner.
Sunday entry is not available, any other day of the week is possible.
Gaps of more than 2 days between confirmed bookings is not possible.
There will be no construction works within the development during the summer months. However, we cannot be held responsible for any work that may take place at other nearby properties. The local Council generally prohibits heavy construction activity between 1st July and 31st August.
If you experience any significant noise disturbances, for example, loud music from neighbouring properties, please report the matter immediately to the Villa Manager.

NOTE 2 - WHEN BOOKING A VILLA YOU SHOULD ENSURE THE VILLA IS LICENSED BY THE LOCAL COUNCIL IN PORTUGAL. IF NOT IT WILL NOT HAVE BEEN INSPECTED BY THE COUNCIL AND AWARDED A SAFETY CERTIFICATE. OUR VILLA IS LICENSED BY ALBUFEIRA COUNCIL.
NOTE 3 - MINIMUM AGE FOR BOOKING IS 25. GROUPS OF YOUNG SINGLE MALES AND FEMALES, STAG & HEN PARTIES ARE NOT ALLOWED.
NOTE 4 - THE POOL CAN BE HEATED UPON REQUEST AT ADDITIONAL COST BUT NOT DURING LATE JUNE, JULY & AUGUST.
NOTE 5 - IN ADDITION TO THE SIMPLY OWNERS "PAYMENT PROMISE" WE OFFER ADDITIONAL COMFORT BY ALLOWING CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS VIA PAYPAL. IF BOOKING, WE ISSUE A FORMAL INVOICE VIA PAYPAL, WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO PAY BY CREDIT CARD.
NOTE 6 - SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE VILLA. IF THERE IS EVIDENCE OF SMOKING IN THE VILLA THE SECURITY DEPOSIT WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
NOTE 7 - A SECURITY DEPOSIT OF £250 WILL BE COLLECTED BY BANK TRANSFER JUST BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE. IT WILL BE RETURNED WITHIN 1 WEEK OF DEPARTURE UPON A CLEAN REPORT REGARDING DAMAGE ETC. RECEIVED FROM THE VILLA MANAGER.
NOTE 8 - NO PETS ARE ALLOWED.
NOTE 9 - NO EVENTS OR PARTIES ARE ALLOWED.
NOTE 10 - NOT ALL OF THE ITEMS DISPLAYED IN THE PHOTOS WILL BE AVAILABLE AS THEY ARE PERSONAL ITEMS E.G. PHOTOS, ORNAMENTS ETC.
NOTE 11 - PRICES INCLUDE A FULL CLEAN UPON DEPARTURE. FOR STAYS OF TWO WEEKS, A FULL CLEAN AND A CHANGE OF BED LINEN AND TOWELS WILL BE PROVIDED AFTER & NIGHTS. FOR 7 NIGHT STAYS, NO ADDITIONAL CLEANING WILL TAKE PLACE, HOWEVER, EXTRA TOWELS WILL BE PROVIDED. BED LINEN WILL NOT BE CHANGED DURING 7 NIGHT BOOKINGS. ADDITIONAL CLEANING / OR A CHANGE OF BED LINEN CAN BE ARRANGED FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
NOTE 12 - DISCOUNTS MIGHT BE AVAILABLE WHEN BOOKED BY ONLY ONE COUPLE, USING ONLY ONE BEDROOM. IN SUCH CASES THE OTHER BEDROOM WILL BE LOCKED.
NOTE 13 - SORRY BUT THE VILLA IS NOT SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS.
NOTE 14 - PLEASE NOTE THAT BOOKINGS OF GAPS OF MORE THAN ONE DAY FROM ANOTHER BOOKING, PARTICULARLY IN JULY & AUGUST, MIGHT NOT BE APPROVED. THIS IS BECAUSE OF THE LOSS OF INCOME TO THE OWNER IN THE HIGH SEASON.
NOTE 15 - FROM MAY 2024 PORTUGAL HAS INTRODUCED A DAILY TOURIST TAX THAT MUST BE PAID ON ARRIVAL TO THE VILLA MANAGER - €2 PER DAY UP TO A MAXIMUM OF 7 DAYS FOR ALL GUESTS AGED 13 AND OVER.
NOTE 16 - PRICES QUOTED ARE FOR 2026 ONLY. 2027 PRICES WILL BE AMENDED BY MID 2026.

By Barbara on 04-Aug-2025Just stayed for a week in this beautiful Villa. Very clean, excellent decor inside, with all the facilities you could possibly need. Pool area was private and stylish. Nuno, Villa Manager, was very friendly and a great help to us on arrival. There are shops and good restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in this area.

Absolutely perfect week
By Vicki on 08-Jul-2023We loved everything about our stay, it truly was one of the best family holidays we have had in 14 years. It was a very hot week so we were particularly grateful for the gorgeous pool area and very well appointed space in which to relax. The recommendations for places to eat and other amenities were spot on and we didn’t have a bad meal all week. Particularly impressive as we have a teenager with some restrictive eating preferences! We loved the local beach restaurants and ate there several times at sunset. The views and ambience were spectacular. Everything we needed was close enough with a fantastic Supermarket only 15 mins walk away. We did take a few trips into Albufeira and had no problems arranging Ubers, the longest we waited was 5 mins. Everyone we met was very friendly, including the Villa Manager who met us on arrival. We have been to Portugal on a number of occasions and now wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

Fabulous Villa , great location
By Nicky Truesdale on 10-Jun-2023Just returned from spending 2 weeks at Casa Laurena, we had a fabulous, relaxing stay. Service has been first class from Ken the owner right from when we booked our stay last year up to when we left last Saturday. Ken has been friendly, helpful, informative and regularly kept in contact, nothing has been too much trouble. When we arrived we were met by Nuno the villa manager who was friendly and helpful whilst showing us around the villa. Nothing was too much trouble when we had to contact him on a couple of occasions. Our holiday was perfect, the villa is spacious and luxurious, Ken & Yvonne have thought of everything for your stay. The location is quiet and there are some lovely restaurants near by which we visited a couple of times, the beach is not far away around 20 min walk. Albuferia old town is around a 10 min drive away and cost between 5-7 euros which we visited a few times. Was very sad to leave as we couldn’t have asked for more, everything was perfect. Will certainly be looking to book again in the future. Highly recommend!!

Relaxing stay at this fabulous villa
