Description
The Villa is Self-Contained with its own Pool and Stands in its own Grounds on a 600 meter plot, at the end of a rural lane.The villa was built in traditional Algarve style in 1978; it has been extensively modernised whilst retaining its original character. There are two bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom; the main living area has air-conditioning, a wood burning stove, television and a dining area.
It is fully equipped for infants and young children.
All rooms have new terracotta tiling to the floors. There is one step down from the hallway into the living area, with the bedrooms and shower/toilet leading off the hallway. Both bedrooms have double glazed windows with inbuilt insect netting. There is plenty of wardrobe space in both bedrooms. The main living room has double glazed sliding doors to the front and side. The high ceiling means that the area remains cool in summer. There are a large variety of games, jigsaws and books for the use of guests.
Outside:
Outside there is a parking area to the side of the property. There are flower beds at both ends of the pool area. The unheated pool is surrounded by a paved patio where there is an outside shower, sun beds and umbrellas, and a small table for informal meals. There is a large shaded area overlooking the pool perfect for a relaxing rest in the afternoon sunshine; a fixed barbecue and table for 8 people complete this area.
Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid service is provided 5 times per week, towels are changed twice a week and bed linen once a week. Beach towels are available.

Located in Salgados, Vale de Parra, Albufeira, Central Algarve, Portugal - situated in an elevated position at the end of a rural lane with fields on two sides.
It is approximately 40 minutes’ drive from Faro airport.
The immediate area is undeveloped, yet only a few minutes away from shops, restaurants, beaches, a golf course, and 10 minutes’ drive from Albufeira and Armacao de Pera.
The villa is within sound of the sea and surrounded by fields and orchards, making it suitable for guests who are seeking quiet, peaceful and relaxing holidays, yet close to all holiday amenities.
Why here
The different seasons on the Algarve all have their own distinctive atmospheres. In spring, the wild flowers are stunning, in summer the shade provided by the cabana makes the pool area a lovely location to rest and relax away from busy beaches.
The main reason for coming here is the complete relaxation afforded by the villa location. It is the last property at the end of a dead end lane, with extensive views to the South and East.
The Algarve has numerous attractions, with water parks, Zoomarine and a number of golf courses all within 30 minutes’ drive. There are a variety of local beaches from 3.5km of golden sand at Gale all the way to Armaco de Parra, to small coves each with its own distinctive beach bar. The choice of restaurants is large and varied; all tastes are catered for.

By Joy Ramsay on 15-Jul-2022Just as described... rural but close to amenities... it certainly is !! Short walk to shops and good restaurants yet you feel you're in the middle of the countryside. Homely and spacious villa with a great pool in a fantastic location. Will definitely return.
Brilliant
By Jason h on 17-Aug-2019Firstly can I say the booking process with this owner was professional ,informative and very helpful. As for the villa well comfy, spacious in a beautiful setting and ideal for a rest in a peaceful location. The villa is ideal for either couples or small family’s with everything you need for a break away and to keep children occupied , we spent half a day exploring the villa and it’s cupboards finding everything you may need and more . The villa is cool even in August and has air con if required although we didn’t need it. The kitchen facilities are fantastic but not a patch on the awesome power shower which was well received after a day in the sun . The whole place was spotlessly clean thanks to the team of cleaners and the pool guys . As for the location well if you want loads of bars and entertainment go to old town it’s 8 euro in a Uber and is a great night out but stay away from the new town strip trust me. 5 minutes walk from a very Portuguese town with a good choice of cheap bars and quality restaurants. We were going to hire a car but didn’t need one as the taxis were efficient and cheap and if you want to do any trips the companies will pick you up from the local town at a minimal extra charge. The aventura buggy driving experience was brilliant We spent many evenings in front of the bbq with locally sourced products bought from Aldi which is dirt cheap and 5 minutes walk. The wine is quality and for nothing 1-65 per bottle Overall this place is brilliant we will return probably sooner than we expected thanks absolutely fantastic place
Total relaxation
By K Henry on 09-Aug-2019I've been coming to Casa Dos Leoes for nearly 10 years now and it is a haven of peace and tranquility in a beautiful location that feels completely rural yet has every convenience you need right on your doorstep. The villa is set in the middle of a shallow farming valley, adjacent to the Salgados nature reserve at the end of a row of small villas in the middle of farm land with one house behind which you hardly notice except from the roof. From almost every aspect all one can see are fields and cork trees and is completely private. The wildlife on open view is spectacular, whether it be the hoopoes roosting in the fields behind, the swallows and swifts taking a drink from the gorgeous pool or the skylarks singing in the morning. It really is a peaceful haven perfect for families with young children or those like me seeking a completely relaxed holiday with nothing to worry about beyond whether to have dinner at the local restaurant or whether to have a BBQ. The interior is basic yet comfortable, and has everything you need to be totally self catered, whilst within a short stroll of good Portuguese cafe's and other restaurants of every kind. Personally, I like the interior because when I'm slathered in suncream or dripping from the pool, I can use all the facilities without worrying about damaging "posh" soft furnishings. It also has internet and wi-fi so I can do everything I could do from home. A car used to be essential but with the advent of uber less so, but would still recommend hiring a car to give the freedom to explore the surrounding countryside, fishing villages and other attractions. There are a range of supermarkets within 5-10 minutes drive of the villa and for those seeking more entertainment there are waterparks, marinas and all manner of beach entertainment and activities from paragliding and jet skiing to the more sedate dolphin watching or sunset cruises all within a short drive. For nightlife, Albufeira Old Town is a 10/15 minute drive away. There is a new complex opened a short distance away which you cannot see but does once in a while have the ubiquitous Karaoke but that has only intruded once in the very high season - most times all you hear is the wind in the trees, the birds singing and the pool gently lapping. My favourite is evening BBQ enjoyed on the roof watching the sun set (and the sunsets are truly glorious). The perfect place for a relaxing holiday away from it all yet with everything you can possibly need.
