Description
This charming two bedroom, two bathroom cottage is accessed via a quiet country lane and has stunning views across the Algarve hills towards the coast. Stylishly and yet traditionally furnished and retaining many of its original features, the cottage offers the perfect retreat. The private fenced and gated pool is a good size and you can find shade under the old olive tree. For the sun worshippers, there are sun loungers on the large private terrace.The covered veranda leads into the cosy sitting room with terracotta tiled floors and comfortable furniture. The well equipped kitchen has the original stone work surface and oak table with seating for 6. The original 18th Century manger stalls have been cleverly restored to form additional seating. There is a pretty terrace off the terrace which is perfect for lazy breakfasts. The two bedrooms are nicely furnished with the crisp white bedding contrasting with the Portuguese wooden furniture. The master bedroom leads onto the terrace where you feel that you have the whole of this glorious area to yourself. To the front of the house is a "hidden" Mediterranean garden among the olive groves - the only sound is that of birdsong.
But…….there is more……the roof terrace is the star of the show and is perfect for an evening drink whilst watching the glorious sunsets. There is even a pretty Portuguese bed for those wanting to sleep under the stars!
Although very secluded and private, there is a restaurant, bar and mini-market just a 5 minute walk away. The renowned sandy beaches are only 20 minutes away. Take time out to explore pretty Loule with it's covered market and super trendy shops.
You can enjoy a yoga class on the roof terrace or a restorative massage whilst staying with us.

By Orla Hannigan on 28-Aug-2024We have just spent a wonderful ten days at the cottage. It was the perfect location to relax and spend quality time as a family. The pool was a good size for our needs and was shaded from mid afternoon, the children loved it. Inside the house was clean and really well equipped. The welcome pack was perfect and much appreciated following a long journey. There was a restaurant and small local shop within a five minute walk and it was around 20 minutes to larger supermarkets. Lots to do within a short drive.
The cottage exceeded our expectations
By Isla Ke on 30-Sep-2024The Cottage exceeded our expectations. The space was much bigger than it looks in photos and the surrounding area is just beautiful. Though the cottage joins with the farmhouse, it is really private. The roof is a lovely spot for a sunrise coffee / evening drink under the stars. The weather wasn’t great for some of our trip but the location of the Cottage meant that wasn’t a problem as we could drive to so many different towns and beaches easily. Highly recommended!!
It's an absolutely amazing place to spend your vacation!

The house lived up to the photos and description. There was absolutely nothing missing. It was incredibly delicious that when we arrived, there was some bread and delicious local goods as well as a bottle of wine. We really did land and enjoyed it from the first minute. A fantastic rustic cottage

Perfect Relaxing Holiday

The Pool is sun all day. The terrace is shaded at all hours of the day. And Anna is very welcoming, and very accessible in communication. In short, we recommend eyes closed!
Absolutely loved the place!
By Barney Williams on 31-Aug-2024Absolutely loved the place - we weren't terribly adventurous, but that was partly because we knew that "base camp" had everything we wanted - lovely places to sit and chill, the pool, the rooftop terrace... It was also close to some great places to eat and drink. And the evening breeze made sunsets and stargazing nights wonderful.
