"Cova do Coração" (Cave of the Heart) is a deliciously romantic 4 bedroom whitewashed farmhouse which nestles among the serene hills of Portugal’s Eastern Algarve close to the charming seaside towns of Tavira and Olhao and less than 20 minutes to your nearest sandy beach. . Framed by extensive gardens with fruits and tropical grasses, laze away your time either in the hammock on the terrace or by the large private pool with pretty sun loungers….. in the evening, you can cook up a storm with our outdoor kitchen or handy BBQ and dine in the pergola under cloudless skies. .Hire our chef for a treat or special occasion! This is a brand new listing and so let us spoil you!Inside, discover high beamed ceilings, spacious rooms and a curated collection of fine furniture. Each of the 4 double bedrooms (2 en-suite and all with zip and link beds) have original tiled floors handmade by a local artisan, and colourful hand printed throws. The 3 pretty bathrooms have been designed in harmony with their surroundings. - organic limewash on the walls and original tiled floors. Egyptian cotton bedding and spoiling toiletries are there for your comfort. Whilst staying with us you can enjoy a yoga class on the shala or book a spoiling massage.. There is a Jacuzzi but only for winter stays and at an additional cost.
With its unspoiled golden beaches, charming fishing villages, and rolling hillsides dotted with almond and olive trees, you can immerse yourself in authentic local life, savouring fresh seafood in traditional restaurants, exploring historic towns like Tavira (on the doorstop) or discovering hidden coves. Take a trip into Loule for the Saturday market (best to get there early) and you can take your pick of the freshest fish and seafood, artisan gins and excellent Portuguese wine – try the slightly fizzy Vinho Verde which is refreshing in the heat. Our local town of St Catarina is only 7 minutes away with its choice of restaurants. Watch the artisans at work still making traditional tiles by hand. For a true Robinson Crusoe experience, take the little ferry from Fusetta across to one of islands and discover almost empty beaches….Take home some organic honey thanks to one of the neighbouring farmers who keeps bees!

The decor and details from India, England and Portugal make every corner a delight to explore, inviting curiosity as you wander through the rooms. The surrounding grounds and outdoor spaces are a little paradise of serenity, nestled in deep nature. The welcome is warm, making you feel at home in this quiet corner of Portugal – still quite untouched.

We had a pleasant and relaxing stay at her house, as it is located in the countryside, far from the noise and hustle of the city. It's the perfect place to disconnect from the stresses of daily life. A cozy house tastefully decorated. The pool and barbecue area are also comfortable and well-maintained. We would definitely stay there again.

The beds are incredibly cozy, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the swimming pool is absolutely beautiful. The surrounding hills are ideal for scenic hikes, and the kind, welcoming Portuguese farming neighbors add a truly authentic touch. The gardens are lovely, the house has a peaceful, grounded feel, and to top it off, it’s also a short 20 mins drive from some stunning beaches. Huge thanks to Giselle, a truly wonderful host. I can’t wait to return with my family next year!

Nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Algarve hinterland and ideally located for a variety of activities. Whether you're looking for relaxing days on the extensive estate, hiking or trail runs in the Serra, or excursions to the fantastic beaches and charming towns in the area, everything is possible here. We were two families with two children each and enjoyed every single day to the fullest. You can feel in every detail how much love Giselle has put into the design of this special place. Nothing is missing, and from the first moment you feel welcome and at home. Communication with Giselle was warm and uncomplicated, a big thank you for that! We love Cova and are already looking forward to seeing you again!
