Leave ReviewLovely villa
By Dan on 12-Aug-2025A fantastic villa with everything we needed as a family. John was great to deal with. There are some roadworks happening by the villa but it didnt bother us too much. We didnt hire a car but uber/bolt were very efficient and we were able to walk to restaurants/shops if we wanted to. We really enjoyed our stay!

By melanie on 15-Jun-2025lovely villa, with pool that was just what we needed. The advert offers pool table. This was in poor condition and could not really be used. bur this did not spoil the hol. The road to the villa is under construction so is more of a dirt track.
Owner response on 10-Jul-2025
Hi Melanie. I believe I did inform you prior to your holiday that the local council recently renewed the drainage system in the area but at the time of your stay had yet to resurface the road. This is a temporary situation but one I could not control .The pool table certainly is not new but in my view very useable and as you would have seen , is now supported by a full size table tennis set for all to enjoy. Best wishes John

By Alison on 14-Aug-2024We had the most wonderful stay here for 2 weeks. The villa was beautiful, and the outside area with pool just so relaxing. John, the host was really helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. He gave us lots of tips on golf, car hire, and restaurants. It made the whole experience hassle free. Thank you.

By Karen Stevens on 03-Jul-2024We stayed here for 11 days in July, my husband and I, our son, daughter in law and grandchildren (10 and 5). We could not have chosen a better villa. The accommodation was fabulous in every way. Upstairs is a very spacious super king (most comfortable bed!!) bedroom with an en-suite shower room, loads of storage and hangers and drawer space. There is a sofa (which i think is a sofa bed if required) TV with loads of channels and a lovely big terrace and seating area, plenty of power points, haidryer and safe. This was a great room for us and left the downstairs for our son and family. Good size rooms, double en suite and twin with access to outside dining area and seperate bathroom. Kitchen extremely well equipped, you will not run out of crockery/cutlery/glasses!!! 2 fridge freezers was a bonus and great for stocking up, especially the water and drinks and meant fewer trips to supermarkets. Comfortable lounge and a very large dining terrace always a great place to retreat from the sun. Pool was stunning, best we have had, plenty of really nice loungers/umbrellas and seating areas and pool toys for the kids. Also a lovely big well kept garden. Villa was in a lovely peaceful area (one of just 3 villas) at the end of a fairly long lane. Not a bad walk down into the village but quite hard going back "up" especially for the 5 year old and myself ( i struggle a bit in the heat) That being said, Johns advice on using Ubers was great. Extremely efficient, just use your App and they are there in a matter of minutes and very cost effective. We used them for our big shops to Aldi/Lidl, went to Villamoura twice and to the lovely Quarteira beach 3 times. A must visit is the Mars Mall, a welcome escape from a very hot day, there is so much to do there inside and out, also a huge food court. Using Ubers for our trip saved us lots of money compared to car hire for the 6 of us. In the village at the bottom of the road you will find a lovley little pizzaria/patisserie/cafe, popular with locals. Great for breakfast, great omelettes and pastries and coffee was £1.20!!! and really nice. Next door thre is a very nice supermarket which stocks everything English, even down to Greggs sausage rolls ! Though very expensive its great if you fancy a little UK fix. Across the road is Super Casa - abit like B&M on steroids, if you need something yu can get it there. Kids loved it, they also have a very nice clothing dept upstairs, mostly for.women though. There is a butchers, as John said, but it was never open the whole time we were there. Our son walked further towards Almancil and found a butchers and got some amazing steak for bbq and reasonably priced. Weather was absolutely fab 27 - 30. Air con was brilliant. Washing and drying facilities great. You can tell this is a much loved home, owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Correspondence with John was excellent and prompt, he has put alot of thought into the information, direction and detail he provides. If you are reading this, I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
Balmy days in February
By Darka Coe on 18-Feb-2023Escellent location in a quiet cul de sac. Perfect for privacy but well situalted for visits to surrounding towns and sea. It was very well prepared for our arrival, immaculately clean and warm. It was February after all and the heaters were on already, (nice touch!) Vicinity of supermarkets and local shops with anything you might want, both local and British food. The villa is well equipped with all mods and cons. Three lovely bedrooms with three bathrooms. The property copes very well with hot water demands as water is heated at source. Fantastic barbecue and outside dining area. We were soaking up the sunshine, relaxing by the pool even in February. The communication with the host was excellent. John always replied promptly and was ready with advice. One could go on singing praises of the property but it would be just repeating the previous reviews. Suffices to say we enjoyed our holiday and will long remember impressive sunrises lighting up the garden. Magic!!!
So good that we stayed 5 weeks!
By MIKE EDWARDS on 18-May-2022Third holiday has now been booked for our 2023 holidays which, I think, says it all. John and Linda are very considerate hosts and are always great communicators. We love Casa Amarelo because of the location, the garden, the pool, the parking and all the equipment inside and outside. Thoroughly recommended. Mike & Hal
