Overview
Description
Despite being immersed in nature, the villa is only 1.6 km from the medieval town of Barga, renowned as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, and about 45 minutes from Lucca. The space
Alventura has been meticulously restored with luxury, space and comfort in mind, maintaining a traditional Tuscan feel with a contemporary twist. It has a welcoming and pleasant feel, as we lived there for many years whilst renovating it. The kitchen is very well equipped with high quality equipment and utensils, and is a pleasure to cook and eat in. We provide you with a welcome basket of local delicacies to get you started and there are plenty of cookbooks on hand to inspire you. The cosy sitting room provides a tranquil place to relax, read or chat in front of the fire. All three spacious bedrooms have luxury en-suite bathrooms and offer spectacular views to wake up to. We provide complimentary luxury toiletries and high quality bed linen and towels. The windows are fitted with mosquito nets.
The villa is south facing, so enjoys the sun from early morning until late afternoon, and there are plenty of quiet spots in the garden to relax. You can enjoy the beautiful valley views from the sun loungers, under a pergola shaded by kiwi and wisteria or under an olive tree. The pretty courtyard is the perfect spot for al fresco dining, and there is also a shaded, paved terrace overlooking the large saltwater pool, perfect for aperitifs! Children will love the pool, all the toys, the library and the park with a treehouse.
The villa, pool, terraces and a well-equipped outdoor kitchen complete with pizza oven are all yours to use.
Guest access
The villa, pool, outdoor terraces and outdoor kitchen are all at your private disposal. Access to the villa is shared, with 2 parking spaces assigned to the villa. Owners live in adjacent property, completely separate and private.
Other things to keep in mind

By Lisa Hartmeier on 20-Sep-2025Anne is an excellent host and the house is a real gem. We were six adults and three babies and for us the house with the three large bedrooms with their own bathrooms was perfect. We cooked a lot - the kitchen is well furnished and we had great fun at the pizza oven!! The house is very well maintained and very clean! Communication with Anne was straightforward and she is a warm host - thank you dear Anne ️

Janus review
By Janus Borsch on 13-Sep-2025We had a wonderful stay! We would like to highlight the great pool with an impressive view – simply perfect for relaxing. The rooms were very nicely decorated and offered all the comforts you could wish for. Evenings by the pool or playing at the ping-pong table have created a relaxed and at the same time entertaining atmosphere. The great privacy that you can enjoy at this place was also particularly pleasant. A big thank you also to the hosts: They gave us great recommendations for the area and even shared a step-by-step guide to making pizza – that worked great and was a real highlight. Overall, an accommodation that we can absolutely recommend – ideal for relaxing and enjoying the time to the fullest.

By Hanah Barnard on 02-Aug-2025We had a wonderful two weeks here. The house is comfortable, clean and well equipped. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful and the pool is stunning. The outdoor kitchen and pizza oven are a great addition. Anne and Simon are very helpful and friendly, but respect your privacy at the same time. We loved it!
Dianes review
By Diane Thompson on 07-Jun-2025The villa was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The setting was beautiful and the surrounding countryside stunning. Barga is a lovely unspoilt Italian town. Ann was a perfect host, offering help with bookings and lots of suggestions for walks (including in the mountains). The accommodation is spacious offering lots of privacy and the pool was lovely. Highly recommended!
Jennifers review
By Jennifer Kulakowski on 12-Apr-2025Our family of five had the best time visiting Anne’s home. It’s perfectly situated near Barga and easily accessible to Lucca and Pisa. The house had everything necessary to enjoy our Tuscan vacation! A play area for the kids (inside & out), the nicest & most fully-stocked kitchen, a fireplace, very comfortable beds, a pizza oven, ping pong table and she even arranged a Tuscan cooking class for our family at the villa with Chef Linda. Anne also went out of her way to make us restaurant reservations and even arranged a last-minute doctor’s appointment for our child. The owners go above and beyond for their guests! We made so many memories here, despite some rainy days, and it made for a very unforgettable stay.
