On the edge of Burgau, right by the coast path, this apartment has everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our week. We particularly loved our lazy times on the sunny rooftop terrace, but also enjoyed wandering the tiny streets of Burgau and winding our way down to the beautiful beach. We had a hire car, which we could park right outside the apartment, so got to explore some stunning places beyond Burgau. The Atlantic West coast was only 20 to 30 minutes away and was very wild and dramatic compared to the calm Algarve coast. The owners were very helpful and communicated well at all stages. We'd love to come back here another year.
This apartment has everything one could possibly need. The accommodation is roomy, spacious and first rate. I particularly like the balcony and the large private sun terrace. Location couldn’t be better; just a few minutes walk into town or to the beach. This is our second visit and we found it to be just about perfect. The owners seem to have thought of everything, can’t think of a single way in which things might be improved. Highly recommend….
This was our 4th stay at this property and we're waiting for flights to be released so we can book next year! There are so many positive things that I could tell you, but it's also the special little touches that make all the difference, like the magnifying mirror in the bathroom, the sewing kit & set of playing cards in the drawer, the hairdryer & adapter in each room, the beach towels, the well-stocked kitchen with probably more gadgets than in my own kitchen, and also the weighing scales if you're brave enough to try them! (And NO, they don't weigh heavy!) It truly is a "Home from Home" it's as though you're on holiday but you've brought everything along with you. There's a new awning over the balcony which makes alfresco dining so much more comfortable and easy, and we also love sitting on the roof terrace furniture for an evening cocktail, watching the sunset. We only ever take hand luggage ( saves money & saves time queuing at bag drop) it's so nice to be able to take advantage of a full-size washing machine and clothes airer, great to return home without any washing. The apartment in Burgau is perfectly situated for easy access to the beach, bars, restaurants, and shops (don't forget the bakery but be early!) you don't need a car, ( bus & Tuktuk close by) but we always rent one, so we can explore further afield as we're not particularly beach lovers, but saying that, we actually went in the sea 5 times on this holiday, there are so many fantastic & stunning beaches to visit, and they're so clean, clear & exhilarating. Our favorite places to eat or drink are The Beach Bar, Rui's & Pielas's Bar, The Verandah & Esquina, but there are loads of other high-standard places, we tried The Pigs Head (English-style pub) this time & were pleasantly surprised! There are still a few places we haven't had time to try yet, so, until the next time, we miss you Burgau, and of course thanks to our gracious & thoughtful hosts - Barb & Al :-) N.B. Almost forgot to mention, (as we don't tend to use it) there is a pool almost opposite, at The Nova Beach Bar where the apartment owners pay for membership for their guests, they do great pizza, coffee & ice creams & also have live music.
