Welcome to La Pergola, a beautifully restored farmhouse (Casa Colonica) surrounded by rolling hills, olive groves, and pine trees, just 30 minutes from Pisa and 5 minutes from the charming town of Buti. With sweeping views over Tuscany, this home provides a serene retreat while offering access to the region's hidden gems.The interiors retain original character with brick, wood, and stone, tastefully furnished with antiques. On the ground floor, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen, dining room with open fireplace, twin bedroom, and bathroom with shower. Upstairs, the master bedroom with en-suite, a single bedroom, and a spacious double room leading to a small terrace provide space to unwind, along with a second terrace for sunbathing.
Outdoors, a private 10 x 4-meter pool and sunbathing area invite you to relax under the Tuscan sun. A shaded pergola with a barbecue and stone pizza oven offers the perfect al fresco dining experience. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the hills and the village of Buti, a 1.5 km scenic walk to shops, restaurants, and summer food festivals.

By Anne B. on 02-Sep-2024"We had a fantastic time at La Pergola and especially Caterina, the owner, was just great! The views are simply stunning and the house is really authentic, just lovely! We enjoyed the pool and terrace as well as the patio. Just be prepared that in August it is very hot, also at night (!!) and there is no AC! You need to open the windows which have no fly screens and at that time of the year there were a lot of mosquitos which troubled some of us a lot. We used tons of mosquito spray. Our kids were fascinated by the wildlife around (and sometimes in) the house, which you get used to very quickly and which gives you the full Tuscan countryside experience. Just be aware that the description on fewo mentions a TV and DVD player as well as Billard: these ammentities are not there. But the wifi works as mentioned. Overall it was a fantastic holiday with so much to see and do and taste and smell ... we loved Italy and Buti a lot! Grazie mille!"
rustic stone house in the hills
By Heidi on 09-Jul-2024Our company of six spent 8 enjoyable days at la pergola.As mentioned in the description of the house it is quite an adventure to get there, narrow, steep road. Not ideal for big cars and steep steps to get to the house.But in the end there is the reward.Stunnig views of Buti, especially at night. Very serene and relaxing place.Spent hours sitting outside, having dinner under the pergola, listenig to the sounds of nature, roosters and chickens included. All in all, lovely place.
Beautiful place to get away from it all and relax
By Heather Brown on 09-Aug-2023We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Pergola. The owner, Caterina, was very helpful. We spent a lot of time lounging by the pool and chatting round the table on the vine-covered terrace. We had everything we needed. The house is located high on the side of the valley and offers amazing views. Just be aware that some of the route to the house is quite narrow and is not for nervous drivers.

Es war traumhaft!
By Jan on 09-Jun-2023Eine wirklich tolle Lage über dem Ort Buti, in Mitten von Olivenbäumen, in der Natur. Der Blick auf den Ort und in die weite Ferne. Gerade am Abend und den Nachstunden haben wir die funkelnden Lichter sehr genossen. Das Haus und der Pool waren in sehr gutem Zustand und sehr sauber! Eine, für uns, absolute wohlfühl Oase!
A lovely quiet retreat
By Guy on 06-Jun-2022We had a wonderful time during a very hot spell. The pool was a lifesaver! The house was well-appointed and spacious. The road up to the property is very 'rustic', but it's worth it for the amazing views.
