Description
A fully licensed, 2-bedroom penthouse apartment located in the unspoilt fishing village of Cabanas, close to Tavira in the Eastern Algarve. The apartment is within a secure complex, finished and furnished to a high standard. Close to a good selection of bars and restaurants, marina and the picturesque waterfront.On arrival at the accommodation all customers will have a friendly 'meet and greet' this will enable guests to be shown around the apartment and ask any relevant questions regarding the accommodation. There is a security video entry phone. Air conditioning also works as a heater during the cooler months. Apartment is fitted throughout with electric window shutters. Towels and linen are included in the cost. Towels are not to be used as beach towels.
Outside the apartment has two terraces. The lower terrace has a large tiled table with six chairs, suitable for Al fresco dining. There is a brick built BBQ great for those long hot summer nights. Additionally there is a further dining suite located outside the master bedroom. The upper terrace which has sea views, facilitates a table and chairs along with sun loungers and is illuminated at night by discreet solar powered lights.
Located within the Quinta da gomeira complex are 4 communal pools which are accessed by a swipe card and are not for public use.
Cabanas beach, which is rated as one of the best beaches in the Algarve, is a 2 minute water taxi ride, costing € 1.50 return. Cabanas is ideally located to explore the Algarve and is only a 20 minute drive to Spain. For those without a car, there are regular bus and train services which run along the length of the Algarve. The nearest golf course Benamor is located 1KM away.
Guests are kindly reminded that the arrival time at the apartment is not before 3pm and departure time is no later than 11am.

By Ian on 08-Oct-2025Great top-floor apartment. Well positioned for easy access to all areas of Cabanas. The roof terrace is excellent for catching the sun all day whilst benefiting from any light breeze to help cool you down.

The two terraces were the perfect touch and we spent lots of time out there. This is our second time to the area, and the location could not have been better. Thanks again, already recommended the place to our family.
Beautiful apartment
By Julian and Jayne on 22-Jun-2024We loved this apartment. The accommodation is beautifully clean, spacious and very nicely decorated. The rooms are large and airy with air con in the bedrooms and lounge. The beds are very comfortable and the lounge area has large inviting seating. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you could wish for. The outside terraces are amazing. There is a huge dining area, a barbecue and and further seating area outside the bedroom. Up some stairs is an amazing roof terrace with loungers and table and chairs. It is fully covered with a sail so offers a shady place all day long. Outside is a share pool area. We highly recommend this apartment and found the owners so pleasant and helpful. There is a wonderful manual in the flat that has information on everything you could possibly want to know about the area - restaurants, bars, transport, shopping, doctors etc, etc. We found it a mine of very useful information. The apartment is very centrally situated in Cabanas and within very easy walking distance of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and the boat to the beach, whilst still being in a quiet neighbourhood. We will certainly be returning.
Lovely apartment!

The roof terrace has fantastic views and the sun shade was much appreciated! Martin and Laura have provided everything you could need in the apartment, we particularly loved the new shower. Would definitely return to this apartment if staying in Cabanas. Dave, Jane & Samuel
perfect stay in a great apartment and location
By Lyn Adams on 10-Jul-2023We spent a lovely 10 days in Martin's spacious, quiet, spotless apartment. It was very hot while we were there, and also a rail strike, so we didn't explore the wider area as much as we might have done. However, the charm of Cabanas de Tavira and long walks/swims on the beach kept us very happy. We spent a couple of days just relaxing in the apartment, using the amazing outdoor terraces and swimming in the pool on the ground floor. The shade sail on the huge upper terrace, together with a cooling breeze, were perfect, especially for stargazing at night. The kitchen is spacious and very well-equipped. The local SPAR supermarket has everything you need within a 5 minute walk. There are many shops and restaurants to choose from, and the local fish/fruit/veg market is open in the mornings. We definitely want to return - everything is just perfect. Faro is about 40 mins' drive from Cabanas - we used City Airport taxis (£63 return). Thank you.
