Description
Villa Torricella is a beautifully restored 17th century palazzo located in the quiet medieval village of Sillicano, just above Castelnuovo di Garfagnana in northern Tuscany. Sleeping up to 14 guests, this spacious historic home combines authentic Tuscan character with generous indoor living space and a fully fenced garden, making it ideal for families, extended family gatherings and guests travelling with dogs.Set in an elevated position with panoramic views across the Garfagnana valley, the villa offers a genuine Hidden Tuscany experience while remaining within easy reach of Lucca, Pisa and Florence.
The House
The villa has been carefully restored to retain its original features, including beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and traditional stone fireplaces. The rooms are large and comfortable, with three separate sitting rooms providing flexibility for larger groups. The well-equipped kitchen includes everything needed for self-catering, and the separate dining room is ideal for long meals together.

The villa is accessed via the village car park located approximately 30 seconds from the house. Sillicano is a peaceful village with very little traffic, creating a safe and relaxed atmosphere.
Optional services can be arranged, including pre-arrival grocery shopping, delivered home-cooked meals, private chef evenings, a Typical Italian Dinner experience, cooking lessons, art classes and guided excursions to Florence, Lucca and the Cinque Terre.

Sillicano is a small historic village in the Garfagnana region, known for its mountain scenery, walking routes and traditional Tuscan life. A village shop is located approximately 200 metres from the villa.
Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, 5 km away, offers restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and a weekly market, as well as a train station with connections to Lucca.

Stunning villa
By Ryan on 19-Aug-2025The villa is stunning and the pool is a highlight. You do need to walk up a steep hill to get to the villa bit it is worth it. Sceneary is phenomenal and the kids loved it. Whenever we needed something Giulia was always there. We will 1000% be back"
Traumhafte Villa mit etwas Patina
By Rudi H on 09-Jul-2024Traumhaft gelegene Villa aus dem Mittelalter mit etwas Patina. Genug Platz für einen entspannten Urlaub in absolut ruhiger Gegend und Abgeschiedenheit. Der Fußweg vom Parkplatz zur Villa war etwas beschwerlich, die Einkäufe und das Gepäck konnten mit dem Auto nach oben gefahren werden. Leider fehlte die im Inserat beschriebene Tischtennisplatte und Polster für die Poolliegen.

By Julia on 16-Sep-2024Great views in a medieval house. There is no parking directly in front of the house, it is a short walk up a steep hill. Guilia was helpful and friendly at all times. Great place for a young group of people. Cleanness was ok. Every room but one had their own bathroom.

Absolute tranquility in an amazing propery
By Ciara K on 11-May-2016We loved the place - the décor is fantastic and the there was every thing we needed. The owners were great and very helpful. I would really recommend the villa. There were 8 of us and the whole experience was just brilliant. Can't wait to go again
