Friends of Tuscany Ltd. manage all aspects of your villa booking with tailored information to get the most from your holiday. We are a family run business who have been operating in Tuscany since 1994. We can help to arrange a shopping delivery service, home made meal on arrival, wine tours, children’s activities, wild swimming spots, festivals, events, and restaurant recommendations based on our personal knowledge of the area built up over 30 years.This special large classic villa with 10 x 4 m private pool has been lovingly restored and modernised while retaining the traditional features and style of a 17 century merchant's home. Situated in the small Tuscan village of Sillicano, the villa is very comfortable and spacious. Six bedrooms - 4 double, 1 twin and 1 triple bedroom. 3 sitting rooms, kitchen, dining room, 6 bathrooms, covered veranda with stunning views across the valley. The hammock bed and comfortable furniture add to this special and stylish relaxing space.

The village of Sillicano is quiet and interesting, with very little traffic, making it safe for children to play and explore. It is 5 kms to the market town of Castelvuovo, and a short drive to the beautiful town of Barga. The classic "art" city of Lucca is an easy drive, as is Pisa and Florence
Garfagnana is 'Hidden Tuscany' at its best. With its' stunning scenery it is the best area in Tuscany for walking and outdoor activities. Friends of Tuscany are the oldest agency in the area, and we have close ties with an Outdoor Activities company who offer many international class adventures including electric mountain biking.
We can also offer Art classes with a well known artist, excursions to the Cinque Terre, Florence and Lucca, visits to vineyards, historical guided tours and Italian cooking lessons.
We can help you arrange a pre-arrival shopping service, and also a prepared Tuscan meal for your arrival.

By Ryan on 19-Aug-2025The villa is stunning and the pool is a highlight. You do need to walk up a steep hill to get to the villa bit it is worth it. Sceneary is phenomenal and the kids loved it. Whenever we needed something Giulia was always there. We will 1000% be back"
Traumhafte Villa mit etwas Patina
By Rudi H on 09-Jul-2024Traumhaft gelegene Villa aus dem Mittelalter mit etwas Patina. Genug Platz für einen entspannten Urlaub in absolut ruhiger Gegend und Abgeschiedenheit. Der Fußweg vom Parkplatz zur Villa war etwas beschwerlich, die Einkäufe und das Gepäck konnten mit dem Auto nach oben gefahren werden. Leider fehlte die im Inserat beschriebene Tischtennisplatte und Polster für die Poolliegen.
Great views
By Julia on 16-Sep-2024Great views in a medieval house. There is no parking directly in front of the house, it is a short walk up a steep hill. Guilia was helpful and friendly at all times. Great place for a young group of people. Cleanness was ok. Every room but one had their own bathroom.
relaxing stay

Absolute tranquility in an amazing propery
By Ciara K on 11-May-2016We loved the place - the décor is fantastic and the there was every thing we needed. The owners were great and very helpful. I would really recommend the villa. There were 8 of us and the whole experience was just brilliant. Can't wait to go again
