You pay NO BOOKING FEES when booked using this web-site and get free payment protection.Villa Mariogo is all about appreciating the outside space - in excess of 3800 sq metres, surrounding this detached villa in the quiet area of Salicos on the outskirts of the popular former fishing village of Carvoeiro.perfect for families or groups of friends.
Added in June 2022 is our newly constructed fully furnished Garden room - a great
outdoor dining, relaxing and entertaining space. Updated with mains electricity, power points fridge and bar area
The focal point is without doubt the large pool area which includes a children’s pool, which has a sloping surround with adjacent beach area complete with bamboo beach umbrellas drinks tables and sun loungers. The children can play in their own pool as well as in the sand with their pool buckets and spades and build sand castles all without leaving the property. We have also put in a new children play area complete with slide and swing.
The two story Villa consist of 4 bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms,( two bedrooms with double beds and 2 bedrooms with single beds ) All bedrooms can be transformed into family bedrooms if requested. All bedrooms lead onto patios overlooking the pool and garden area.
There is the ‘convenience’ of a downstairs cloakroom, fully equipped kitchen, living / dining room with fire place, utility room, outside patios for alfresco dining as well as 2 bbq areas.
The entrance to the property is through double secure electric gates leading to the driveway which accommodates several vehicles for groups of friends or extended family .
The imposing entrance leads to the kitchen and public rooms and two of the en-suite bedrooms, one
double with option of an additional single bed being added, the other twin bedded or option of conversion to super king. This room also has modern access doors to bedroom and bathroom to accommodate wheelchair users. The bedrooms all have large full length mirrors, fitted wardrobes additional seating and air conditioning. Hairdryers straightness snd tongs also provided.
All rooms lead to the outside terraces equipped with table and chairs for alfresco dining which overlook the pools, garden and bbq area.
Going up the sweeping staircase will bring you to the other 2 bedrooms, one super king size bed, the other a twin room again each with the option of adding a further single bed.
Both these bedrooms lead on to outside terraces with lounge furniture for relaxing.
We can also provide a baby/ toddler pack ( for up to 23 months old ) for each child , which can include travel cot, high chair, sterilising unit, baby monitor, and baby sleeping bag. This is provided for a fee of 15 euros per day per pack up to a max of 105 per stay per pack payable locally..
There is a selection of toys for young and old including a full table tennis table and garden swing and slide.
There is high speed internet using fibre optic, 50” Smart TV, a selection of books and games,.
Out and about in the surrounding area, there is something for everyone-water parks, go-carting, Zoo Marine, live music venues , fine dining options, rambling , water sports, boat trips. The list is endless. You could even do nothing and just sit by the pool and relax with a good book.
Golf lovers have a range of options ranging from championship to par 3 where you can opt for a sundowner session and get back in time to fire up the bbq for alfresco dining under the Algarve sunsets .
At Rocha Brava 2 kilometres away, you can play tennis, do Zumba yoga or Pilates, hire electric bikes or just stand and have a beer.
The surrounding area is a walkers paradise and you can join local groups who are welcoming of visitors. The coastal walk, much of it covered with a board walk which means those less fit can do these walks and so not miss out on the fabulous scenery in the area. The Seven. Valleys trail - 6 kms one way.
You have several choices of beaches including Benagil, Marinha, Carvoeiro, Albandeira, Carvalho, Vale de Centeanes all within 5 minutes drive away where you can do water sports or boat trips along the coast line. You can of course make a day out and travel either east or west along the coast to explore all the Algarve has to offer.
The village of Carvoeiro is about 3 kilometres away with an abundance of restaurants cafes and bars to suit all tastes and budgets as well as a range of shops - very much with holidays in mind If you don’t want to drive a taxi ride is approx 5 euros.

The property is fully licensed by the Portuguese local authority- 111419/AL.
It is equipped with smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors as well as security cameras, all with your safety in mind.
For your comfort and safety, all windows and patio doors have fly screens as well as lockable and vented shutters.
Our mobile phone number is available 24 hours a day during your stay for emergency calls.
We provide a change of linen mid stay for stays of 2 weeks or more this is included in the rental cost.
To reduce your luggage, pool towels are provided as well as hairdryers, straighteners and curling tongs. All those added touches you would expect at a luxury villa.
In line with the Portuguese ‘Clean and Safe’ initiative, which we have attended and are now accredited, we use the sanitizers and sterilising equipment recommended by the programme.
A £500 deposit is required at time of booking. Payments can be made in 4 instalments to spread the cost of your holiday for stays of more than 7 days..The final balance plus a returnable breakage deposit of £500 is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival.
Prices shown are for the property per week in sterling unless otherwise specified.
Prices quoted are for up to 8 people which does include children in this occupancy. Babies up to 24 months pay for the baby pack whilst toddlers may ,if part of over occupancy rate, pay as follows: Additional people or beds are charged at £30 / €35 per person / bed per night of your stay. This is paid locally. We are licensed for up to 10 people.
A local tourist tax has now been introduced and is payable on arrival at the property - summer rate is € 2 per adult up to max of € 14 euros per adult ( age 13 upwards ) per stay. Children up to 12 years are 1 euro per night Winter rates are €1 euro per person up to max of €7 per stay per person. This is not included in the estimated price calculation provided by Simply Owners.
Conservative use of air con is included but excessive usage will incur an additional cost at the end of your stay. This is metered and charged at the published provider rate.
Check in time is 4pm. Check out time is 10am.

*All bookings between 1stOctober and 31 March are subject to an additional charge for electricity, payable on exit , charged at 0.28 cents for each unit of electricity used.

The owner was fantastic in terms of communication and making me feel at ease throughout the process of paying the deposit and balance on the villa, and in the lead up and during our stay. The villa itself is fantastic, 4 great size double rooms and an incredibly large outside area. I couldn't recommend the villa more.
A Delightful Stay at Villa Mariogo - The Beach House
By David Maginnes on 04-Jul-2024Nestled in the quiet Urbanização Quinta dos Salicos, Villa Mariogo, fondly referred to by locals as “the Beach House,” proved to be a wonderful getaway for our family. From the moment we arrived the villa's ornate metal gates made a charming first impression, hinting at the comfort that awaited us inside. Upon entering the Beach House, we were immediately pleased by the high standard of furnishings and the comprehensive amenities provided. The living area, equipped with a SMART TV, made for cozy family movie nights. The well-stocked kitchen, featuring a coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, and BBQ, ensured that we had everything needed for enjoyable home-cooked meals. One of the highlights was the gorgeous pool area with it's own little faux beach. Our days were filled with laughter and splashes, with the pool towels provided making it convenient for us to dry off and relax. The children were particularly thrilled with the play areas, including a selection of toys and a sturdy play frame that kept them entertained for hours. For some friendly competition, the table tennis setup was a fantastic addition. The villa’s thoughtful touches didn’t go unnoticed. Hair dryers, hair straighteners, EU adapters, and baby equipment, including a sterilizer, were all at our disposal, making our stay comfortable and reducing the stress of having to travel will excessive baggage. The availability of super fast fibre broadband was an added bonus, keeping us connected throughout our stay. Outdoor dining was an absolute delight under the wonderful pagoda. We enjoyed several meals al fresco, savoring the fresh Algarve air and the serene surroundings. The ample seating and picturesque setting made our in-house dining experience memorable. We were also able to book a local private chef to visit one night for a birthday treat for my wife. Villa Mariogo’s location was ideal for exploring the charming town of Carvoeiro, just a 5-minute drive away. Carvoeiro's quaint streets, beautiful beach, and vibrant atmosphere left us enchanted. We spent leisurely afternoons wandering through the town and soaking in the coastal beauty. For golf enthusiasts, the villa's proximity to two excellent courses, both within a 10-minute drive, was a significant plus. We enjoyed challenging rounds of golf in stunning settings, adding to the overall joy of our holiday. The Beach House also served as a perfect base for exploring other local towns, all within a 15-40 minute drive. Each town offered its unique charm and attractions, enriching our Algarve experience. In conclusion, our stay at Villa Mariogo – the Beach House was nothing short of wonderful. Its beautiful design, exceptional amenities, and prime location made it an ideal retreat for our family. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious and convenient base to explore the Algarve. We left with fond memories of our stay which made my wife's 40th birthday celebrations extra special. Amazing stay!
By Susan on 22-Jun-2024I (along with friends - 4 couples in total) recently had the pleasure of staying at a villa and from the moment we arrived until the departure, every aspect of our visit was nothing short of fantastic. Pre-stay The owner was so lovely and reached out to speak to me and really gave a personal touch to the overall experience. It didn't feel like just another transaction and gave some really helpful recommendations, like restaurants, airport transfers etc. Accommodation and Comfort The villa itself was a masterpiece of comfort and elegance. The rooms, including living areas were spacious, with pretty much everything you need, including beach towels. Having ensuites in all of the rooms really made a difference. Amenities and Facilities The range of amenities available was impressive. The villa boasted a private pool (which was huge). The surrounding gardens were not only extensive so we never felt crowded there was an amazing veranda. Before we got there, I wasn't convinced we'd use it but we definitely did. Most nights. It was a lovely atmosphere to have dinner, discussions and lighthearted games. It also had a fridge which was very handy! Overall Experience The overall experience was truly remarkable. The villa provided a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service. It was a haven of relaxation and indulgence that made our stay unforgettable. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this villa highly enough and I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Traveled as 3 couples & a single person but would also be great for families. Spent most evenings in the new Gazebo and ventured out a few times which was a 5-minute/5 euro Uber. Highly recommend.

An absolutely amazing villa with a fantastic pool in Carvoeiro
By Ben and Sophie on 28-Jul-2023Where to start, if you are looking for a villa holiday in Portugal then definitely consider Villa Mariogo, in fact we say just book it as I'm unsure you will find better. It was everything and more we hoped it would be. From the moment I contacted Louise to stay at the villa she was nothing but helpful and had some great recommendations for places to explore within the Algarve. We holiday in Portugal most years and this is by far the best villa we have stayed in and is situated in a very lovely complex of other high end villas. The pool is just something else and is just massive! There were 7 of us in our group and the space in the villa was incredible. Close to the beach and restaurants by car and taxi. The grounds in the villa are very well kept and great for the kids to run about. We loved it so much we have booked 2 weeks for next year and we cant wait! Thank you Louise and see you soon.

Holiday of a lifetime!
By Triona Ryan on 17-Jun-2023We have been on many villa holidays as a family of 5, but this was by far the most beautiful and spectacular villa. From the moment we booked, the contact from Louise with advice from car rental to places to eat and things to do was beyond what we have ever experienced before. The villa itself is spacious, spotless, with everything you could need. Unlike other villas, which have a holiday home feel to them, this one just felt like home. Really comfortable sofas to relax on if you wanted to watch a bit of tv (they have access to all streaming networks), large en suite bedrooms with AC, fully equipped kitchen that had everything you needed from preparing meals to baking a cake. Close to all amenities, I would recommend car hire, but we were within 5 to 15 mins drive from everything. The pool and the outdoor space-I have no words. Our best memories are our night time swims under the stars, our family meals in the entertainment gazebo, and relaxing on the loungers on the man made beach. Louise was a kind and informative host and I would recommend her beautiful Villa without a second thought. We are already excited to return. Thank you Louise for everything.
