Description
Villa Casa Espedal was last renovated in 2020 and has a high standard. The villa, located on the outskirts of Carvoeiro, is built in traditional Portuguese style and enjoys a fantastic location overlooking the olive grove, cultivated fields and the Monchique mountain range in the north. Casa Espedal is located in tranquil surroundings in Sesmarias urbanization about 2 km from the amazing cliffs of the Algarve.The villa is about 280m2 and has been tastefully renovated to high standard.
The villa contains 3 master bedrom with double bed and attached large bathroom + 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and attached bathroom (total sleeping places 8).
The villa has a separate guest apartment that is bright and airy near the pool area with its own entrance and private terrace. It contains 1 master bedroom, living room with on double bed, kitchenette with fridge and stove as well as a single bathroom with shower and bathtub.
The apartment has a total of 4 sleeping places.

Casa Espedal has a large fully equipped kitchen with dining area for 10 and a large living room divided into 2 levels with fireplace, satellite TV, DVD player and internet. Both the kitchen and living room are tiled, have high ceilings and are tastefully decorated. From the kitchen there is direct access to the pool area and a covered patio with dining area for 10people.
The rent during the summer season includes electricity, water, gas, bed linen, towels, bath towels, maid service / laundry during the stay and on departure, etc.
Use of air conditioning for the 4 bedrooms in the house as well as in the apartment is included in the price. Power will be charged for consumption during the winter months.
We have our own on-site contact person who delivers keys and can assist during your stay, if needed.
Outdoor area / garden:
The villa has a beautiful garden of a total of 1800 m2 with almonds, fig trees, palm trees and cacti. It is airy and secluded. There is a private pool of 5 x 10m (nearly without chlorine) with possibilities for light in the evening and a large undisturbed outside terrace where there is ample space for play / activities / sunbathing / relaxation.
The property is located in a child-friendly, slightly sloping terrain, mostly on the same ground level, ie not many steep stairs. A staircase to get down to the apartment, but this is shielded with its own gate.
There are two outdoor barbeque , both gas and coal.
From the villa it is a short walking distance to a small cozy supermarket where you can buy delicious freshly baked rolls for lunch. There is also a walking distance to 3-4 cozy restaurants, ranging from good pizza restaurants, to Bon Bon, which is a popular Michelin restaurant to Hexagon, ranked No. 2 on Tripadvisor of the restaurants in the Carvoeiro area.
The area:
The Algarve area is known for its beautiful beaches and has the best climate in mainland Europe. The summer heat is tempered by the sea, and the ocean affects the climate in the winter and makes it less cold than the countries around the Mediterranean. Due to the location near the sea, the Algarve has the most solar hours per year, compared to other cities in the world that have the same climate.
From Casa Espedal it is within easy reach of all amenities, such as 8-10 min from Portugal's finest beaches, 5 min to the villages Carvoeiro and Ferragudo, both of which have many good restaurants as well as a large shopping center 10-15 min away.
There are also 5 golf courses in a short distance by car. Two of these are championship courses, one just a few minutes away. Portugal has on several occasions been named the number one golf destination in the world. Over 30 courses within 10-30 minutes, tennis, sand volleyball, children's pool, playgrounds, car, boat. and motorcycle rental, golf shop, spa, doctor, pharmacy, bank, post office, pubs + much more.
Also Portugal's largest and best waterpark Slide & Splash is only 5 minutes away.

By Lynn Barratt on 20-Aug-2025There were three generations of visitors and there was something for everyone. The pool was great ( although it does have a very steep slope into deeper water ). The table tennis table had several people playing. The kitchen is huge and very well equipped. Plenty of places to eat; the best being on the roof terrace. Parking for two cars on the drive and more spaces available on the road next to the villa. Our one and only issue was the bbq ran out of gas mid meal and there wasn't a spare. All in all, a great holiday!
Worth Every Penny

Casa Espedal has more than enough room for a family of 12 with the age range 13-72 . The amenities provided were of a high standard throughout with plenty of crockery and cutlery to allow the dishwasher to do all the work (the machine , not me lol). The cooker, grill , oven , microwave , freezer and fridges were more than enough to cope with veggies, vegans and proper meat eaters, plus a coffee percolator to boot ! There were ample beach towels provided along with a washing machine for us to use. The air con was a blessing on the warm nights to sleep well in the comfortable beds. The villa also supplies a BBQ which was well used on the roof terrace while taking in the views. Though secluded and peaceful your not to far away from the local supermarkets, shops, restaurants and beaches a few minutes away by car but not too far to walk. There is also a very fast internet connection and an abundance of TV channels (including sky sports) in many languages. Al in all a relaxing, stress free, happy ten days was had by all.

Perfect villa
By Family holiday on 12-Jul-2025Casa Espedal is beautiful inside and out. It was very comfortable for a large family- the lay out gives everyone privacy in the evenings. We really appreciated the double fridge and kitchen equipment! Everyone loved the pool and there are lots of loungers so everyone can relax at the same time. It also has lots of separate seating areas to enjoy and appreciate the views and garden. The location is also fab- lots of beaches, towns and amenities. We had cars but also enjoyed how easy using uber was for the evenings. Everything was very smooth with communications too, from booking through to our stay and check out. 100% recommend!!

Summer stay
By Lily Marriott on 15-Aug-2024We had a great time visiting Casa Espedal this summer. The villa is very well equipped and the outdoor pool area in particular is beautiful. It is very easy to get around, we were getting multiple ubers or bolts from the villa each day to supermarkets and restaurants and the cost was very reasonable. Much cheaper than the UK. Beds very comfortable and AC worked well. Only feedback points would be to have more full length mirrors, there was only 1 in the whole villa across 4 bedrooms. For a group of women this was a bit of a challenge! In addition it would be useful to have bins closer but I suspect this is something out of the hands of the villa owners.
Truly Wonderful
By Susan Moran on 27-Jul-2024Our Family trip to Casa Espedal was a first trip to Portugal for most of us ,we came to Celebrate my Husbands 70th Birthday with our Children and Grandchildren. Little did we know just how Beautiful Casa Espedal was going to be ,the photographs really do not do this properly justice! It is Stunning ,both inside and outside!! We spent wonderful long lazy days in and around the superb pool and enjoyed relaxed meals around the table in ‘our favourite spot’ the roof terrace , watching the sun go down from there will be a lasting memory along with all our special times together . Casa Espedal ,Thank you for providing the space ,location and ambience to make our Holiday a very memorable experience ,Truly Wonderful .
