Leave ReviewA Great Family Holiday
By Gareth on 08-Jul-2025A great holiday at Casa Tara with our adult family and a 2 year old. We found it spacious, comfortable, and appreciated the air conditioning. We chose it as the pool was fenced off which worked very well for us. We spent hours in and around the lovely pool enjoying the many inflatable toys. We added more! While some sunned, others enjoyed the shaded patio spaces. Add in table tennis and the barbecue and we were well suited. We walked down to the beach/town but Ubers were efficient and useful for trips back etc. We had excellent fish meals at Mar de Fora and Boneca Bar, and wonderful croissants from the nearby bakers (turn left, then left). Sandcastles on the beach, swimming in the sea, a visit to the fantastic Water Park, and an exhilarating and choppy boat trip in the mist! A traditional seaside holiday - in the sun - with many happy memories made. Many thanks to Marie for a lovely stay, your quick responses and your kindness on our last day.
Lovely Villa
By Tracie on 18-Jun-2025The villa was lovely - spacious, clean with superb views to the sea. The bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms newly renovated. The heated pool was fabulously warm and everyone enjoyed it as well as the garden and shady seating areas. There were pool towels and lots of pool toys which the children and adults enjoyed, including the table tennis with 2 boxes of new balls provided. The shower and loo by the pool were a bonus. Marie was an accommodating, friendly host. Everything worked perfectly, a mid week clean was also offered to make the holiday as relaxing for everyone as possible. I would recommend this villa for friends and families.
A great villa
By Sarah Dopson on 23-Aug-20256 adults and for 4 kids aged 10-14, we loved the villa. Carvoeiro is a beautiful small town and the villa is 15-20 min walk away. The villa itself is very spacious with plenty of outside spaces to sit and lounge and a good size outside table that we all fitted around for meals. The villa is well equipped, there is nothing that we wanted for. The pool was a hit, a good size with 4 active young people and the whole surround of the pool was very spacious with lots of sun beds and umbrellas. Marie, the owner was fantastic from the start of the booking process to the end, very helpful and friendly. My husband and I would love to return again.

A beautiful relaxing place
By S3693VEpaull on 18-Sep-2020What a gorgeous place this is , the villa was of high standard with everything you could of wanted. The grounds are beautiful , the pool was perfect and the surrounding area was so peaceful. While peaceful it was only a short walk into an area of many restaurants, a lovely cove style sandy beach and some stunning cliff walks. Marie , the villa owner was more than happy to help and advise if needed and the grounds , pool and villa were looked after well throughout the week. All in all one of the most relaxing breaks weve ever had.

By Siobhan C on 24-Sep-2019I was looking for a place with a bit of luxury to celebrate my 50th birthday with some close friends and family .Having looked at many villas I kept being drawn back to this one. I could not be happier with what we chose. From the moment we booked the owner Maria went out of her way to be helpful with lots of advice about bars, restaurants, beaches, facilities, supermarkets transport, checking in and out times, even what inflatables might be available in the pool! We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived, the place was beautiful, spacious, light , well equipped, the most friendly supermarket about 7 mins walk away (they even drove us back one day to the villa) , fab local restaurant around the corner, beach a gentle stroll downhill to town where there was plenty of choice of restaurants and bars. Very easy to get around to explore other towns such as Ferragudo by uber TukTuk. We enjoyed many lazy days around the pool , having BBQs , plenty of terraces to choose from depending on which time of day it was. Upstairs amazing for sunsets. It was my first time to Portugal and will definitely be back, the people were so friendly and all of us enjoyed this villa so much. Would highly recommend. Thanks you Maria for everything and for helping us create amazing memories which we will never forget. The garden was also beautiful and so much space between neighbours made it very peaceful with hardly a sound of a car and mostly te only sound was beautiful looking birds.
