Air-conditioning and wi-fi, sea views from the roof terrace

Casa Joaninha is an outstanding 5 bedroom/4 bathroom villa with its own heated pool and large roof terrace with sea views. The villa has an excellent location within 10-15 minutes walk from Carvoeiro centre on the edge of Quinta do Paraiso. The villa is air-conditioned with wi-fi internet access and foreign TV channels.

On the ground floor there are two spacious double bedrooms en-suite and two twin bedrooms which share a family bathroom. The fifth large double bedroom, also en-suite, is on the first floor with direct access to the roof terrace.
The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, plenty crockery and cutlery, microwave etc. Outside you have also find a small drinks fridge under the covered terrace next to the bbq and seating areas.
The spacious lounge has an L-shaped sofa and links with the dining area but mostly the large table outside under the covered terrace is used for meals: a perfect place to gather together. The gardens are well maintained and there is a lawn area for children to play.

The pool (10 x 5m) has a shallow end for children and can be heated for an extra cost (200€/week). 10 sun beds are provided as well as a couple of sun brollies. Child gates separate the pool from the rest of the terrace area.
The villa has a mature garden which is surrounded by hedge and fully fenced. There is a large car port for off-road parking for a maximum of 3 cars and electric gates to the road.

All bedlinen and towels provided including separate pool/beach towels.
Maid service twice a week.
We follow Covid-19 Cleaning procedures (Clean&Safe) as recommended by the Portuguese Tourism Board.

In the vicinity of the villa (short walk) you will find a couple of small supermarkets and half a dozen restaurants, coffee shop and a medical centre. Pestana Golf complex, with two 18 hole courses and Carvoeiro Tennis Club are only 5 minutes drive away. Carvoeiro itself is an old fishing village which has grown into a small residential seaside town with a lot to offer: beaches, restaurants, bars, shops and different outdoors activities and sports, all without high-risers or big apartment blocks.

We had a wonderful holiday in this wonderful villa. Sam wS extremely helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. She helped us to change our dates due to covid, arranged taxis and made sure we had everything we needed. The villa was an easy walk to restaurants and bars and yet in a very quiet location. We would definitely visit again.

We had a lovely stay – just what we needed to relax. This property is very spacious and ideal for larger families. The villa is really comfortable, well equipped, great outdoor area including garden, pool and lots of seating areas. It has a good sense of privacy, even though in the town, and not overlooked . The villa was also cleaned and maintained to a high standard. Sam the property manager was very helpful throughout and all information provided during our booking process and stay was straightforward, clear and helpful. The property is only ten minutes walking distance to the centre of Carvoeiro which has plenty of restaurants, a beach and boat trips to the caves . It is also a great location for exploring further afield if you have a hire car. We certainly hope to return in the future!

A fantastic villa for our family holiday

We had a brilliant time at Casa Joaninha. Our group was 6 adults and 2 small children, the villa was perfect for us as the two double bedrooms are very large so there was more than enough space for cots and other baby equipment. The layout of the villa is great, there are several areas to sit and eat outside, including the upstairs roof terrace with barbecue which was fantastic in the evenings. The pool was perfect for our group, especially as it has steps which make it much easier and safer for the children, as well as a gate. The host was superb too, she ensured that we had everything we needed and even provided a few drinks and snacks for us upon arrival. All in all we couldn't find any fault with our stay and would highly recommend it to others looking for a family holiday in the Algarve.
