Description
Air-conditioning and wi-fi, sea views from the roof terraceCasa Joaninha is an outstanding 5 bedroom/4 bathroom villa with its own heated pool and large roof terrace with sea views. The villa has an excellent location within 10-15 minutes walk from Carvoeiro centre on the edge of Quinta do Paraiso. The villa is air-conditioned with wi-fi internet access and foreign TV channels.
On the ground floor there are two spacious double bedrooms en-suite and two twin bedrooms which share a family bathroom. The fifth large double bedroom, also en-suite, is on the first floor with direct access to the roof terrace.
The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, plenty crockery and cutlery, microwave etc. Outside you have also find a small drinks fridge under the covered terrace next to the bbq and seating areas.
The spacious lounge has an L-shaped sofa and links with the dining area but mostly the large table outside under the covered terrace is used for meals: a perfect place to gather together. The gardens are well maintained and there is a lawn area for children to play.
The pool (10 x 5m) has a shallow end for children and can be heated for an extra cost (250€/week). 10 sun beds are provided as well as a couple of sun brollies. Child gates separate the pool from the rest of the terrace area.
The villa has a mature garden which is surrounded by hedge and fully fenced. There is a large car port for off-road parking for a maximum of 3 cars and electric gates to the road.
Cot and highchair available free of charge.
No smoking inside the villa.
Security alarm.
All bedlinen and towels provided including separate pool/beach towels.
Maid service twice a week.
Saturday changeover.
In the vicinity of the villa (short walk) you will find a couple of small supermarkets and half a dozen restaurants, coffee shop and a medical centre. Pestana Golf complex, with two 18 hole courses and Carvoeiro Tennis Club are only 5 minutes drive away. Carvoeiro itself is an old fishing village which has grown into a small residential seaside town with a lot to offer: beaches, restaurants, bars, shops and different outdoors activities and sports, all without high-risers or big apartment blocks.

By Steve Fuller on 09-Aug-2025The pictures of this villa do not do it justice! From the moment our group of 9 people stepped inside, we loved it! It had a everything we could need to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The pool is lovely and well maintained with plenty of sub loungers, as are the grounds around it, the patio area is nicely covered and has a large table and, again, plenty of seating. There is another little seating area which is lovely for sitting in before the sun comes up or basking in the sun during the day. Inside the lounge is large and comfortable and the kitchen has everything we could need - for the first 2-3 days, we were opening drawers and cupboards and finding more really useful things eg for a BBQ, dining, preparation etc. The fridge was a really good size which was needed with the amount of food and drink we all needed. On that, the outside fridge was perfect for keeping drinks cold during the day and easy to get without having to dry off and go inside. All the bedrooms are a really good size with comfortable beds, great showers in the ensuite and main bathroom and plenty of space for storing clothes etc. If we return in a large group again, we will definitely be booking this villa!

Fantastic Stay!
By Richard on 29-Mar-2024We stayed at easter and from start to finish it was outstanding. The villa was amazing, spotlessly clean and and had everything as advertised. Sam was a superb host, met us on arrival and had everything ready for us. The pool was perfect for the kids and plenty of outdoor space. As it is walking distance to the town it makes it so much easier. We will definitely be back Sam! Thanks for a wonderful week.

She helped us to change our dates due to covid, arranged taxis and made sure we had everything we needed. The villa was an easy walk to restaurants and bars and yet in a very quiet location. We would definitely visit again.
Highly Recommended - excellent spacious property in great location

The villa is really comfortable, well equipped, great outdoor area including garden, pool and lots of seating areas. It has a good sense of privacy, even though in the town, and not overlooked . The villa was also cleaned and maintained to a high standard. Sam the property manager was very helpful throughout and all information provided during our booking process and stay was straightforward, clear and helpful. The property is only ten minutes walking distance to the centre of Carvoeiro which has plenty of restaurants, a beach and boat trips to the caves . It is also a great location for exploring further afield if you have a hire car. We certainly hope to return in the future!
