The two of us spent a very happy seventeen days here at the beginning of September. The house is immaculate and very comfortable. It is very well equipped and (importantly for me) has lots of books for essential holiday reading! 8B is very well maintained, everything works and it is quietly situated at the end of a no through road. A beautiful, peaceful and very private garden surrounds the pool - the perfect place for relaxing. If a change of scene is required it's a short, easy walk to the facilities of the main Quinta do Paraiso resort - restaurant, grocery shop, pools etc. We enjoyed a couple of meals at the Oliveira Restaurant there when we were too lazy to walk further. We ate out every night - there's such a good choice of eateries within walking distance. The only thing I would do differently would be to opt for the pool heating at this time of year. While my husband found the pool 'refreshing' it was a little cool for me. The booking process was very straightforward. The owner, Alison, is very accessible and more than happy to chat about the villa and answer any queries you may have. The information pack she provides is very comprehensive. We would have no hesitation in returning and would certainly recommend it to other holidaymakers.
Wow, just what we needed. The villa is a home from home. There are three bedrooms, all with air con, security shutters and curtains (so kids didn’t wake too early with the light). Two of the bedrooms on one side of the villa with shared bathroom and another on the other side with its own bathroom (would be perfect for a family of four plus grandparents or 3 couples). Comfy sofas, with UK channels (CBBC and Cbeebie/Disney, handy for kids’ chill time). The highlight is the gorgeous heated pool (worth paying the extra, although would also have been fine without heating as so hot here), with delightful garden which isn’t overlooked at all and a roof terrace. There is everything you need - lots of loungers / great kitchen facilities / shaded eating area, use of the owners pool toys, etc. It may not be super modern and fancy but if you want easy, comfy with a relaxed home from home feel it is just the ticket. It’s also so quiet and peaceful and yet only 2 min walk to the large shared pool with little pool bar, which the villa has access to. Great for doing lengths or to cool down in/ change of scene. The villa is approx 10min walk down a steep hill to town / beach. We walked there and back most days with 7 and 8yr olds, until we discovered the super cute Tuk Tuk ride which we treated the kids to for a ride back (cost us 10 euro for all four of us). On some days we also just drove down with our beach gear and parked for free on ‘restaurant hill’. There are restaurants and a supermarket around 5min walk away but most nights we liked to pop to town for a mooch around little shops and choose our restaurant. Highly recommend a trip to Silves (beautiful little town/village around 20mins away) and also loved the cave boat trip from Caveiro beach. Plus the Earth Cafe at the top of restaurant hill does awesome organic coffee and delish brunches. The owner, Alison has gone above and beyond making our trip easy and was so kind offering us the reassurance and flexibility if anything went wrong during all things Covid. She also allowed us a late check out. It really is the perfect villa to relax in and well worth all the hassle testing, etc, to get here. Took all of ten minutes for stresses to melt away! Thank you!
A wonderful villa, spotlessly clean with a beautiful swimming pool in a pretty garden. We had the most wonderful week at Villa 8B Playing tennis a little golf and lots of walks into town, it’s a very peaceful location. We would not hesitate to come back.
