Description
Luxury detached villa (with Portuguese rental licence No AL 18228) on private elevated position in a cul de sac with a sea view. The villa is light, airy and tastefully furnished and fully equipped to an extremely high standard. Whether lounging around the private pool (South Facing), cooking on the BBQ, playing giant chess or just relaxing on one of the many terraces this villa creates the atmosphere for a restful holiday. If you are feeling adventurous you can visit the many beaches nearby or explore the charming villages of Carvoeiro, Ferrugudo, Lagoa and the moorish town of Silves. The Monchique mountains are a car trip away.As mentioned above Casa Maio is fully licensed by the Local Authority, which is a legal requirement, however many are not. It has electronic gates to the entrance and off road parking, electric shutters, alarm, active security cameras to all external areas, air conditioning (reversible), underfloor heating throughout and heated towel rails to all bathrooms. Outside Casa Maio has five main terrace areas - one surrounding the private pool, with sun loungers, outside shower and giant chess. A covered terrace with furniture overlooking the pool, another with the BBQ and a large dining area, also another situated at the rear of Casa Maio for perhaps a leisurely breakfast. The first floor terrace also has a dining area and view out to sea, there is also a small adjacent terrace overlooking the pool and gardens.
BOOKING NOTES
A non-returnable booking fee of 25% is required with booking. The balance including the 'deep clean' of £150.00 and the damage deposit of £1,000.00, all required eight weeks prior to arrival.
Cancellation between 4-8 weeks before arrival - 50% of balance rate refunded, 2-4 weeks before arrival - 25% of balance rate refunded, less than 2 weeks before arrival -no refund.
A 'deep clean' is chargeable (£150.00) to be added to the final balance as mentioned above.
Please note that Casa Maio is a totally non-smoking villa (including electronic cigarettes /vaping of any kind) in the villa or its grounds and is only available for six persons including children.
Changeover Day:
Changeover day is limited to Monday to Saturday (No arrivals on a Sunday). Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is 10am.
NOTES ON RATES
Rental rates for Casa Maio are on a nightly basis for non-smoking (including electronic cigarettes/vaping of any kind) rental parties only.
Rates allow a flexibility in the number of nights required.
Rates include air-con, electric, gas, water, maid service, all linen and towels.
For your convenience a range of consumables are supplied i.e. hand soap, dishwasher tablets, bin liners etc.
Please note that a 'deep clean' at the end of the rental is chargeable (£150 payable with the final balance).

Cloakroom - shower, and heated towel rail.
Kitchen: Modern and fully equipped comprising oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, wine cooler and all utensils.
Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, ironing board, iron, airier, first aid kit.
Living Room: Seating for six, satellite TV, DVD/CD player, fireplace, puzzles, games, books and DVD's. View over the pool.
Dining Area: Separate area with glass table which seats six.
Cleaning: Maid service included with a deep clean (chargeable) at end of the rental period. Bed linen, towels and pool towels supplied. Hairdryers to all bedrooms.
ACCESSIBILITY
Not suitable for wheelchair access as property has several steps to all areas.
FURTHER DETAILS
Casa Maio is ideally located with a choice of four large supermarkets a five to ten minute drive away. There is a small local shop. There are many small bars and restaurants hidden away locally. Carvoeiro itself has many bars, cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.
Algarve shopping and Zoomarine are twenty minutes by car. The busy town of Lagos, its marina and zoo are a twenty-five minute drive. Although Sagres is forty-five minutes it is well worth the effort, the sunset is breathtaking. Closer to home is the Moorish town of 'Silves' with the Castle overlooking the town.

Even in these strange times we were absolutely determined to get away for a change of scenery - if our flight was leaving, we were on it! Tony and his team in Carvoeiro were so helpful yet again in arranging our airport transfers and also getting some shopping in for us due to our later than usual arrival time. They also left a fantastic welcome pack which was greatly appreciated. As soon as we pulled up outside Casa Maio we were immediately in holiday mode, it really is a home from home and EVERYTHING has been thought of by Tony & Debbie. They really do go above and beyond to provide a perfectly relaxing villa holiday! Helena and her cleaning team were also excellent yet again, the place is kept absolutely spotless. Thank you so much for sharing your stunning holiday home with us - we will definitely be back again in 2021.
A Peaceful Break Away in the Sun

On each occasion the owners, Tony and Debbie, have made sure that our holidays were top notch in every possible way from the moment we first enquired through to checking all was in order when we arrived home. Their attention to detail is second to none and is reflected in the immaculate condition the villa and it's grounds is maintained every year. The location is perfect for us being in a quiet, peaceful cul de sac situated above the seaside village of Carvoeiro, a short walk or drive away. The BBQ, the fully fitted kitchen and a huge variety of bars, restaurants and tavernas in the locality provide more than sufficient eating options. We are unable to fault this villa in any way and would highly recommend it to small families (the huge water park only a few miles away is always a hot favourite) and couples in need of that perfect chill out, particular grandparents like us! We've now just booked our fourth visit for next year.
Simply beautiful

We’ve had the pleasure of kicking off our summer holidays here the last few years and can’t help rebooking for the following year a few days into our stay! It’s always due to our children loving it as much as us and asking ‘please can we come back next year?’ There’s my Husband and I, our two children (currently aged 11 & 8!) and my Mum in our party. Absolutely nothing hasn’t been thought of by Tony & Debbie. Beautifully furnished and beautifully looked after. It really is a home from home and we never want to leave! We’ve stayed in many villas over the years and this is by far the most superior. The outdoor BBQ area with its very own beer fridge is a firm favourite with us!

Fabulous Stay @ Casa Maio
By Sharon on 21-Jul-2018Another fabulous stay at Casa Maio, the villa is spotlessly clean and very spacious for 6 adults. A great location away from the centre but only a, short 15 to 20 min walk down to Carveiro centre alternatively many restaurants close to the villa. Tony very helpful with prior arrangements and information needed to make the stay comfortable. It really is a home from home and I will be visiting again with no hesitation.

It is absolute beautiful, the villa itself is immaculately looked after by the owners, who will always try to ensure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. It is in a wonderful elevated position with great views, within easy walking distance of Carvoeiro town and its many great restaurants. For luxury, peace and relaxation we cannot recommend it more
