Description
Villa Santa Maria is located in the area known as Quinta do Paraiso and there are many extra facilities that can be used ie use of tennis courts, 3 main pools, Kiddiclub, restaurants, bars and mini supermarket. It is set in a mature area with lovely gardens. The villa will sleep a max of 6 adults (or mix of adults and children) plus one baby in a cot.The villa itself has 3 double bedrooms (2 of which are en suite) and a guest bathroom which also serves the third bedroom. There is a spacious lounge with comfortable seating and this leads to the dining room and then patio doors to the al fresco dining area on the patio. The modern kitchen is fitted with Bosch appliances and has a large American style double fridge with ice and drinking water dispenser. Through the kitchen there is a fully equipped utility room leading to a drying area in the small courtyard. The villa is also fitted with an active water softener.
The pool area has ample sun beds and parasols for guests and another seating area with table and chairs if required. with dimensions of 10 x 5 metres the pool has gentle entry steps from the shallow Roman end with a depth of approx 0.8 metres to a maximum of 2.0 metres at the deep end and pool heating is available on request (extra charge) The beautiful gardens are meticulously maintained and the mature plants give privacy all around the villa. There are lawns and a large BBQ area with refrigerator and water.To the front of the villa stairs lead to the roof terrace where there are further sun beds and fantastic 360º views towards the coastline and surrounding area.
The villa is air conditioned and for winter use there is a log burner in the lounge. Good discounts can be applied to over 4 weeks of winter rentals. There is a flat screen TV plus a DVD player. Free wi-fi internet is also provided.
Guests are welcome to use the Quinta do Paraiso facilities nearby (200 metres) which consist of 3 pools, Volleyball, Dance Practice, kids club, Mini Golf and tennis courts. Some are at a small charge.
It is fully licensed under the Alojamento Local (AL) scheme, registration no 4691/AL

By James Welsh on 02-Sep-2025The villa was ideal for us, spacious, clean, fast Wifi and excellent pool. Would have no hesitation returning or recommending to friends. We had stayed in Carvoeiro before so knew our way about but UBER is cheap and fast to take you too restaurants and places of interest if required.

Great stay and lovely Villa
By ROB DS on 16-Aug-2025Myself and wife and 3 boys had a great stay at the villa. Location was great and could walk into Carvoeiro or drive the car to the top of the hill and walk the rest. We discovered Ferragudo beach in this trip that was very nice. The villa itself was very comfortable with a double bed in each room. A nice large sitting room and dining room. Kitchen had all the amenities needed to cook a few meals during our stay. The broadband was very fast which helped keep the kids entertained. Ana was very helpful and popped in to see us and Peter was a pleasure to deal with as usual. Overall was a pleasure to stay in the lovely family villa. Hopefully we will be back at some point.

A little piece of heaven!
By Gill Armour on 26-Jul-2025In summary, we would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful villa to anyone who's looking to escape to the truly spectacular Algarve. We stayed at Villa Santa Maria for a week at the end of July 2025. Every single thing about the booking was just perfect. The first communications and booking were swift, detailed and incredibly helpful. Instructions on how to get to the villa and how to get in were just perfect. The villa itself was even more beautiful than the photographs portray. The pool is perfect, garden gorgeous, home so well equipped and fabulous. The villa is perfectly situated as a base to explore everything the Algarve has to offer, from the busy tourist towns to the quieter surrounding villages full of history and beauty. A boat trip, a safari tour, and hours just enjoying the wonderful atmosphere and perfect sunshine. There's so much more for us to see. The Algarve and the Villa Santa Maria delivered an absolutely perfect break for us. Special thanks to Peter for dealing with the enquiry so efficiently and to Anabela for the lovely warm greeting and great advice on where to visit!!!!

Lovely villa in Quinta do Paraiso
By Chris Johnson on 31-May-2025We have stayed in several villas in this area over the years and found Santa Maria to be the best of them all for us (a mature married couple). It is in a quiet yet convenient location. Easy walk to shop, pizzeria and resort swimming pools. Internally the villa is spacious, comfortable and well equipped with everything required for an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. The features we enjoyed most were the spacious, shady terrace for meals and cool relaxing, and the pool deck, flooded with sun throughout the day, but which includes a large parasol, plenty of comfortable sunbeds and a large, expertly maintained pool with easy access. The gardens are colouful and well maintained and the property is secure with locking entrance gates. We will return!

Great Holiday in a superbly equipped villa

The resort has much improved since we were last there, in terms of food and drink quality and service. The villa itself is well equipped, almost a home from home, and extremely well managed by the Team of superstars (Anabela (Housekeeping) and Peter Evans). In fact Peter is one of the most proactive chaps we have ever met! Attending all needs and addressing every detail professionally and with flair. There is ample parking space at the villa, the pool is very private and well positioned, and outside eating areas are well maintained and ideal. The internet was superb.

Incredible villa, a wonderful holiday
By Lee and family on 13-Jul-2024Santa Maria is incredibly well appointed and presented - the rooms are lovely and homely, with AC throughout and the pool is absolutely amazing! Great size and lovely temperature in the Algarve summer. We were surprised by the amazing housekeeping and provision of towels/bedding etc and the location of the villa is perfect for getting around the great Algarve. Couldn’t recommend higher!
