Gorgeous Villa Pool Heating a must in April And temp was great ! Fully equipped and comfortable 24/30 min walk to centre of Carveiro but also couple of nice restaurants 10/15 mins walk. Lovely roof terrace too! Quiet area and super close to Vale Do Minho golf !

Like previous reviewers, I have nothing but praise for this absolute gem. The place is spotless, well laid out, comfortable, great air con and the kitchen is better equipped than mine at home! A fantastic washing machine in a room off the back yard, which is a perfect sun trap for drying clothes while away from the pool/garden living areas. The garden is beautiful, the roof terrace beautiful and the pool fabulous and so warm! We obviously didn’t pay for heating with it being August, so I can only assume it’s due to getting the sun all day long. You are not overlooked anywhere here and even from the roof terrace you’d struggle to overlook anyone else – for being in the middle of an estate of villas (the whole area is beautifully maintained) it feels very secluded. The villa is a little way out of town – to get to ‘restaurant hill’ you’re looking at 25/30 minutes stroll at a steady pace - we’re a family of walkers so we enjoyed the daily exercise but be aware many of the roads on your route home, although quiet, have limited pavements. We saw lots of taxi’s around so grabbing a lift wouldn’t be a problem. There are a family of cats who will lurk in the gardens but not bother you, they do really appreciate the food bowl being filled though! Peter the owner and Sonia the manager are both brilliant, beyond helpful and they had left some supplies for our arrival, which was hugely appreciated and saved the panicked shop hunt we normally have to do. As we didn’t hire a car, we ordered shopping online with the local supermarket Apolonia, who delivered the next day (great for stocking up on those 5l water bottles!). Without hesitation I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
