Description
Drumlin Villa is a stunning villa with it's own private pool situated on a quiet cul-de-sac in the fabulous area of Quinta do Sobral. The villa is located on a small hill, hence the name Drumlin, from the Irish word droimnin or "little ridge". The Villa is very spacious with lots of natural light. The interior is fitted to a very high standard with modern decor throughout.The Villa is located an easy 45 minute Motorway drive from Faro Airport and is only 10 minutes to the Spanish border.
The villa offers the perfect setting for exploring the Eastern Algarve. Within a 15 minute drive there are 6 golf courses to choose from including the prestigious course of Monte Rei Golf designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Your closest town is Castro Marim, a typically Portuguese town with a lovely castle and quaint shops. The nearest beach, (Praia Verde) is 3km away from the Villa
The towns of Tavira and Vila Real de Santo Antonio are within easy reach and are great for an evening stroll and a leisurely drink at one of the many street cafés.
For your reassurance Drumlin Villa has an "Alojamento Local" (letting licence) and is registered with the Portuguese authorities to ensure that specific safety standards and regulations are met. It is a legal requirement that the number (11942/AL) be displayed in the property description.

By Michael Lloyd on 15-Sep-2025We stayed at Drumlin Villa from 15th–25th September and had the most wonderful experience. The whole process was so simple to book, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The villa itself is pure luxury – spacious, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. One of the highlights was the shopping package offered on arrival. It was brilliantly put together, stocked with plenty of essentials as well as some alcohol, which was a real bonus. As we had a late arrival, it meant we had everything we needed from the moment we walked through the door without having to worry about rushing to the shops. The pool and outdoor space were perfect for lazy days, and the location made it easy to explore the nearby towns and beaches. It truly felt like a home away from home, but with all the added touches of a high-end stay. We’d highly recommend Drumlin Villa to anyone looking for a luxurious and stress-free getaway in the Algarve, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

A truly impressive villa with huge amounts of space inside and out
By Jon on 01-Sep-2025The villa is situated in a quite complex. it has huge amounts of space internally and the same again externally. essentially there is a wrap around balcony with loads of doors to access it in various places (and allows you to get air flow into the house). At the back of the house you have a large eating area and a big swimming pool - probably one of the biggest we have had in teh many villas we have stayed in over the years. the house itself feels like a home and is fully equipped with pretty much anything you would need.. The best compliment I could pay is that I spent most evenings watching teh sun set over the pool an d wondering how I could retire to a house like this! The owners and the local manager were super helpful and accommodating and quick to answer all question. 5* 10/10 from us

Wonderful villa
By Manuel on 19-Jul-2025First, communication with Nuala was nice, very easy, clear, and quick. Arrival and departure were also simple and friendly with Kerry. Regarding the villa, we can only say that we had a wonderful vacation. Besides being beautiful, well-decorated, and comfortable, it has everything you need for a great vacation. The pool area is fantastic, and since it connects to the kitchen (which is very well equipped with everything you need), it's very functional for spending great moments of fun and socializing with family and friends. The beds are comfortable, there's AC throughout the house, the Wi-Fi works well, and the games room is a plus. It's close (by car) to the best beaches in Algarve, supermarkets, nice cities (Castro Marin, Vila Real de Stº António, Tavira), and Spain. In short, a wonderful villa with everything you need for a fantastic vacation.

Beautiful villa in quiet location.
By Sinéad on 16-Apr-2025I can't say enough about Drumlin Villa, from initial enquiry to booking to check in the whole process was a breeze. Nuala, the owner is prompt and efficient at replying to any questions, communication was accurate and very informative. The villa is beautiful, with every possible item a family could require, down to a calpol syringe (which we had forgotten). Highly recommend if you're looking for a quiet location, close to amenities but away from the usual tourist hustle and bustle. We'll be back.

A Wonderful Stay
By Holly Anderson on 23-Apr-2024We had the most wonderful holiday at Drumlin villa. We were two families and the villa was absolutely perfect for us all. Its really well laid out with lots of space and extremely well equipped - everything has been thought of including brilliant instructions and a lovely in person welcome on arrival. The pool was great too - fabulous that there is also a deep end for adults! Its location is ideal - a couple of minutes drive from Castro Marim village (which we adored by the way - its local and welcoming and a great spot for a morning coffee or an afternoon beer or two), ten minutes from Villa Real (which is a really lovely town, perfect for a bit of shopping, dinner etc) and only ten minutes from the coast too. Its also the perfect gateway to exploring further north and over to Spain for a day if you fancy it. ps. Ayamonte, the closest town on the Spanish side, is a lovely spot too. Booking with the owner, Nuala, was seamless and everything was really well communicated at all times. Thank you so much. We loved Portugal, loved the villa and will definitely be back.
