Overview
Description
One storey summer villa, surprising and innovative architectural choices, making use of the natural light and energetic space. From the wild natural landscape is generated a magnificent panoramic pool, decked by sun umbrellas and loungers, a wide staircase to reach the upper sundeck for a far-reaching perspective of the estate where you can enjoy the views of the boundless skies, and puzzle together the conical buildings that dot the countryside and view the hilltop town of Cisternino.
Location
From the villa you have a bird’s eye view of the hilltop town of Cisternino, (4 kms) its whitewashed houses and narrow cobbled streets, crammed with a staggering selection of restaurants, bars and curious boutiques.
Stefano's Villa I is a short cycle or walk to the labyrinth of winding country lanes of the surrounding and all-embracing Valle d’Itria.
If tempted, a vehicle ride brings you the outlying boroughs towards the baroque town of Martina Franca, the white wine headquarters of Locorotondo, the often overlooked (but please don’t!) Ceglie Messapica and the great ‘White Town’ of Ostuni.
There is much to explore further afield, our Guide Michele, suggests visiting the spectacular sights of perhaps the octagonal shaped Castle ‘Castel del Monte’, built by King Frederick the II in the 1300s; Gravina in Puglia where the iconic 007 made his grand leap off the Roman bridge; Matera – a fascinating complex of cave dwellings; the port and riviera of fine restaurants in Trani; the sweeping views and charming old town of Otranto, and one of our favourite cities of all Italy, Lecce, need we say more…..
Family & Friends
Long Winter weekends, Spring breaks, longer stretches of time in Summer and Autumn to linger; to spend some time in Stefano's Villa, is to be sheltered from everything, at any time of the year. A place to think of more genuine pleasures and bring small families and friends together.
The Interiors
The semi-openair dining room is a natural viewpoint from which to observe one room to another or overlook the elongated poolside. Stefano's Villa has bold, strong lines, highly fucntional with a modern elegance.
A practical kitchen, adjacent to the dining room, is well-organised, with large fridge, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, equipped for fesivities and small company. It connects to the back yard through French double-glazed windows and the breakfast patio.
The lounge, that celebrates light and nature, is comfortable and contemporary, furnished with a sofa and smart working corner. A perfect place for curling up with a book after a long day outdoors exploring.
Two bedrooms, each with their own private shower room, one accommodating a double bed, the second a french sized double, with soft spirited colouring and cooling fabrics.
Desgined for creative simplicity.
Exteriors
A covered breakfast terrace flanks Stefano's dining room, with views over the poolside, not with mentioning the extraordinary back drop created by the white terraced village of Cisternino, in the distance.
A grand mixture of great outdoors, BBQ, Al fresco Gazebo and swimming pool.
Stefano's Villa, serves many purposes of a holiday home, but most of all, to promote well-being and relaxation.

Leave ReviewThe place was just..
By MARINA on 31-Jul-2024"The place was just beautiful and peaceful, located in a very quiet area with amazing olive trees all around the property. The outside is just stunning, just the perfect place to recharge! The near by town of Cisternino is just so beautiful with lots of places to eat and drink! Highly recommend the place and the host!"
We had a wonderful time..
By UGO on 30-Jun-2024"We had a wonderful time in Puglia! Colleen is a welcoming host, kind and always available as needed. The accommodation is impeccable, very well maintained, and the exteriors… beautiful! It's a very nice peaceful place where you can feel good. The accommodation is very well located (a few minutes drive from Cisternino, about ten minutes from Alborebello, Locorontodo,...). We were hosted very well by Colleen with a beautiful basket filled with Italian specialties from chickens as well as a fridge also filled with very good things! No complaints, you can go there without a second thought! A big thank you to Colleen & Stefano!"
It has been the best..
By ANDREW on 30-Sep-2023"It has been the best self catering place we have ever been to. The food in the hamper and fridge was so helpful when we arrived late at night. It was so kind of Colleen to provide a puzzle for our three year old daughter. Our three year old daughter says "I liked the swimming pool, the compost heap and watching Daddy put things on the compost heap. I liked the steps." We had such a special first holiday with our daughter and hope we will be back."
Thank you Colleen for such a lovely wonderful stay
By Georgina on 31-Jul-2023The villa was beautiful, even more so than the photos! There was so much space to relax and enjoy the beautiful property. We were very sad to leave at the end of our stay, we had had such a wonderful time and would absolutely come again. The villa was spotless, well equipped, and with lovely bathrooms. The outdoor space was fantastic and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool each day and al fresco lunches. We particularly appreciated the generous basket of food essentials from Colleen which kept us going overnight after a very delayed flight! Small touches such as these, and the comprehensive local area guide, made all the difference. Thank you so much once again Colleen!"
